Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in New Lenox

I checked out tonight 4/20/22 at 6:38pm. About 7 customers were ahead of me. I notice the young female employee put rice on 2 burritos and then pat down the rice on the burrito with her hand. She had gloves on. She finnishes and after she helps the male customer in front of me who ordered 2 bowls in hopes of she would not touch the food gets done with him. I let her know that before helping me, she needed to change her gloves because, I just saw her touch her face to maybe, push her hair off it and that what she was doing by touching food after she was touching her face was spreading germs. Also let her know she could not pat down the rice with her hand on what I was ordering. I told her I was not trying to be mean. I was trying to teach her food safety because, all these people coming in do not want to get sick. Right before checking out another female touches her hair and then puts gloves on. Wash hands, don't touch self, put gloves on. If needing to touch self even with gloves on, wash hands and get new gloves. Stop patting down the rice on burritos with gloves on. The attitude of the workers in New Lenox, Mokena and Frankfort are unbelievably rude with no food education. Today I found a bone in my bowl which was the icing on the cake. Now I have easily eaten at chipotle 3000 times and there's a lot of great chipotle's out there which is why I bought the stock especially Glen Ellyn, heads and tails above them all. Personality is just as important as the food and these three in this area are continually getting worse. I think the Frankfort wins the award for worst service. I walked in with no one in line or sitting and there was a worker cleaning, made me wait 7 minutes before even saying hi, then right to start dishing up my food without washing his hands or changing his gloves, turns out it was the manager. Time to find a new regular favorite because no one seems the care. Asked to speak with the Regional several times, never one call. Guess it will be portillos and jersey...

I love chipotle. The people at this location are great! Never had a problem with them. However, every time I use the drive through pickup my food is extremely cold. I’ve never written about it because it’s usually not a big deal, although it happens often. But today I was a few minutes early, and my order was still ICE cold (I live across the street, maybe 2 minute drive from the store). It’s ridiculous. I also ordered the carne asada bowl with extra brown rice. I got a tiny amount of carne asada and the normal portion of rice or less for almost $10. I only get correct portions when I go in to the store and have them make it in front of me. The drive through portions are never what I put in my app, which happens almost every time.
