The Goblin's Cavern — Local services in New Milford

This is the epitome of great customer service and most importantly consistency. I’m lucky enough to have two shops in town. But I no longer go to the other due to inconsistency in pricing.

The Goblin Cavern charges both MSRP and market prices whether the prices favor them or not. This is consistency everyone should strive for. If a set dropped in price they drop the price if it increases they increase the price. I am always going to support this.

The other shop which I no longer visit only charges market when it’s a benefit to them. And they upcharge on everything. My purchase today at the cavern was $148 if I made the same purchase at their competitor id be paying $215 dollars. It’s an easy choice to make when it’s time for pre-release events and game nights.

I've been going to this shop for at least 10 years, been a wonderful experience every time. Great atmosphere, friendly and well-informed staff, and this is one of the few MTG shops I've been to that actually lets you flip through a singles binder at the counter. That's rare these days, and honestly just cool. Great inventory of MTG singles, plenty of large tables for gaming, and a MASSIVE comic collection as well. Settlers of Catan and Dominion expansions are available here too, amongst many other popular out-of-the-box card and board games.

The real kicker for me is the community backing this store up, the owners (the goblin) have done a great job creating a safe and welcoming space for gaming. Very extensive amount almost all nerd things. They have a massive selection of comics (not much manga sadly), a lot of pokemon in binders that are sorted by sets for decent prices, and have a nice display of more expensive cards to look at (although not as fair in my opinion, but varies per card). They have selections of other tcg too but I'm not sure if they're as good as pokemon. Decent overall customer service. They have a website to check out the stock of their cards, so if you see that they have a card you would like, you can come buy it which is amazing for a collector of cards. Pretty good place to check out if you're in New Milford.
