The Chartres Street location is by far the worst of all the shops under this brand. While I’ve had positive experiences at their other locations, with helpful, warm employees and a thoughtfully curated selection, this one is an entirely different story.
The cashier on duty was cold, dismissive, and acted as if customers were an inconvenience. What shocked me most was when she abruptly walked out of the store and began aggressively yelling at people on the street who were loading large paintings into the back of a truck. It was loud, unprofessional, and deeply uncomfortable for everyone present—customers included.
It left a really sour taste in my mouth. There’s absolutely no excuse for that kind of public, hostile behavior from someone representing a retail space in a tourist-heavy area. With so many beautiful, welcoming art and antique shops in the French Quarter, there’s no reason to subject yourself to this one. Stick to their other locations if you’re interested in respectful...
