Where to begin? At first, you would think that the most you could say concerning 116th Street is how neatly it fits into the sequence of streets in this area: 114, 115, 116, 117, 118. It is SO aptly named that you know exactly where it belongs at all times! You'll always be able to find it right away. AND just by adding a simple "E" or "W" to it, as in "E 116" or "W 116", you can zoom right onto the correct half of this paved pathway of pure planar perfection. Add another number, like a "3" or "962", and you can literally specify a particular place, more often than not, someone's house! (Just make sure you put the number first: "962 W 116 St.", NOT "W 116 962 St." or "W 962 116 St., or, worse, "116 W St. 962"!) You can see how confusing this could get and how many people could get lost if this system fell into the wrong hands! Just follow the format, and you'll get where you're going every time! 🙂 If you happen to be going to someone's home, it's best to let them know ahead of time and maybe bring a gift of a small dead mammal, in case they are hungry. One of the other very convenient features of 116th Street is the inclusion, in it, of an MTA Subway station. This station is very aptly named "116 Street", so it's not difficult to remember. One thing that is worth noting is that "116 Street/St." is exactly the same as 116th Street/St." The "th" after the number just means that it's a number in a longer sequence, as previously mentioned. Don't get confused! Next, we'll do an in-depth review of "117 Street" and really "dig in",...
