If you want to maintain healthy long nails, don't go here. I have been getting powder dip on my nails for a good while with no issues (my nails in the picture are the actual length of my own nails, no extensions). I go here and a week later, my nails are turning colors. I wanted to go back to them before posting a review, as it was only my second time there and wanted to see if they would help rectify the situation. They did not. I came in first thing in the morning in an attempt to not embarrass them in front of other customers or have the current state of my nails drive anyone else away. When I went in, I was the only customer present. I was very nice and respectful. I didn't want it to be a whole scene, I'm not that kind of person. I showed them my nails (before the top part came off) and had only asked they remove the powder. I didn't ask for any other service, for a new powder manicure, etc. Just for the current powder to be removed and was told I would have to pay $25 to have it removed (nearly $30 including tax and tip) despite having to get it removed because of the fungus or infection that they were more than likely responsible for. One of two things happened here: either half of my nails were infected from poor hygiene at this salon, or the poor technique cause moisture to get trapped and develop a fungus. Either way, they were not helpful in finding a solution. Went to another salon down the street right after I left Chic Nail and they were very helpful. They told me possible causes and told me I could make an appointment with them to help fix my nails. I now have to cut my nails completely (which is fine they grow back fast), but Chic was less than kind and didn't even attempt to see if they were at fault or even advise me on how to get my nails healthy again. I will not be back at Chic.

I don’t understand the bad reviews. I had a manicure and back massage here today - excellent and welcoming service, Monica was really precise and efficient with my nails, and it wasn’t expensive. Only reason I give 4 stars is that their range of regular nail polish is limited, which isn’t such a surprise since lots of folks do gel manicures now. Visit them! They’re good and they’re a local business. ❤️

Pedicure was okay. Manicure they had a hard time explaining me the services and they left my nails like in the picture. This place DO NOT do acrylic nails. I just wish they have made it clear before removing my gel for no reason. Unfortunately I had a terrible service, don’t recommend.

This nail salon is very racist and rude! I would not recommend. They are located in a black neighborhood but treat black people as if they are bothered that we are in their establishment. I got my nails done (gel service) and it was chipping less than a week. I spent $52 for this service including tip! I called up the man (don’t have his name) to see if he can fix them and he allowed me to. As I come in they are confused as to why I am there. Three people are viewing my nails including the manager. I asked if this happened because of the color I chose. The manager proceeded to tell me he doesn’t know because he’s never seen anything like it. Already I felt that was an uncalled for comment. When I finally get seated and the man who did my nails last time started to fix it he had an attitude already. My nails were chipped on several fingers and he wanted to just fix the 2 with the most chipping. I told him I would like him to fix all the fingers that were chipped and he told me he didn’t want to do it. He stared at my nails after that and then decided to work on them. While he was doing my nails he was being very rough with my nails and when I told him my nails were weak and to not file it down but instead soak them he became angry and annoyed. While sucking his teeth and pushing my fingers/hands after he was done applying paint to them I had it! I told him he didn’t need to be so rude and disgusting but he ignored me and rushed the process. When he got done he left my hand under the UV light and told me he’s done and that I am done. I told him that I would like to stay under for a few more seconds to insure the nails were cured as this isn’t my first rodeo, I get gel all the time. I ended up asking the man next to him with glasses if he could help me and give me a hot towel to wipe the dust off my nails since the man who was doing my nails just walked off and left. The man with the glasses ignored me for 3 minutes after he was finished with his (YT) customer, until I asked the question again about a hot rag that he was next to. He walked away from it to get the manager acting as if he didn’t understand what I was asking. The manager asked me what I wanted and I told them I would like to wipe my hands off with a hot rag and the manager ended up giving me a dirty smelly rag that was already in his hands. That’s when I completely had it and let him know that his employee was rude and this salon service sucked. He had nothing to say. No apologies NOTHING!! It’s clear they had a problem with me just off of my skin tone because others in the salon of lighter skin tone were getting treated wayyy better than I was! Safe to say I will not be returning and spending my hard earned money here. If you don’t like establishments that discriminate against others and treat people with no respect I would suggest you stay...

I will say I am aware of the quality of pedicures and nail services overall have decreased over years although the prices have increased. However, the experience at the salon today was just unnecessary. I go in for a regular pedicure which is priced at $43, about 10 or 7 dollars more than I usually pay at my regular place. But this nail salon was closest to me.

The entire pedicure lasted 10 minutes, she filed my toenails and clean my cuticles neither of which really needed much work. She rubs my feet gently with a pumice, and then dries them and begins to paint. So I ask is that the entirety of the service so what she says yes looked at my feet, which still had dead skin on it, and said it’s extra to remove all of that, and not include it in a regular pedicure. I asked so what’s included in the $43 because what you did was wash my feet which I could’ve done at home. She calls I suppose her manager they talk back-and-forth and the manager reiterates it’s extra so I say to her OK take the pay off and I’m gonna obviously have to go home and do this myself. I put my shoes on go to the front to pay and tell them I’m only giving you half of the money because you only did have to work. She talk to a manager again walk back to me wave me you’re rudely and I say so you don’t want the money and she snatches it out my head.

I will also say wow she was beginning to pay my tolls. The lady next to me was also having an issue with her person. She had her feet done last night. There was some issues so she came back to get it fixed and they were going back-and-forth about that.

Overall, it seems the salon is overpriced with low quality and rude workers. They are definitely better nail salons in this area with better quality of work and lower prices. If I could give zero...
