Great liquor store with a vast selection and fair prices. We were visiting for the 4th July weekend and needed some soju for our BYOB dinner up the street. 1936 had a nice selection of chilled soju as well as any other liquor we could think of. Prices were also fair even at NYC standards. They also had free RTD cocktail tastings going on while we were there which was a plus. Overall, highly recommend.

The selection is insane.. rare finds, top-shelf gems, and everything in between. Whether you're stocking a bar or just feeding your inner spirits nerd, this place is a goldmine. Cheers to that!

Has a great deal of liquor of various variety, and they taste like real good alcohol (at least the ones I did try)!

They also host monthly free wine tastings which really helps me get a good idea of what kind of new liquor I can buy, and not always be drinking the same stuff. Also acts as a mini-networking letting me meet new people.

Overall I'd recommend this place if you want to buy some good alcohol! Or most definitely go to the wine tasting event if you want to meet...

Has everything. They can even get some drinks that I would like them to order. Brand new with tasting available. They have many Asian wines and liquors too. It is recommended to come by day time because sometimes the late night staff might not be knowledgeable enough. I have bought at least 50+ bottles there already, and I visited this place before it’s open. Confidently saying this is my only must go...
