ALDO — Local services in New York

OMG reading those reviews it seems I wasn't the only one who had a horrible experience earlier today. I stopped to return a shoe and then the manager accused me that it had been "worn" although I just bought it yesterday ... I didn't really push back since I didn't have the original box and ended up buying another pair, somehow the manager did sell it as "final sale" without mentioning to me anythingI around the policy for wearing the shoe while trying it ..etc only to discover later in the day that she wouldn't allow me to return. The pair was hurting my feet and caused bleeding, manager didn't care and kept saying it's the policy. Policy is one thing but the problem is the ATTITUDE, the manager was rude and did accuse me of trying to "game" the system "I saw you trying to return the pair earlier and you think you can do that?" ... I told her I genuinely didn't know and that no one mentioned to me earlier and that my foot was now bleeding because of the shoe, she cared no less. I ended up returning the pair to the store while she REFUSED to give me ANY refund. She thinks she was able follow the "policy" but she doesn't realize Aldo lost a loyal customer FOREVER (Business 101, CLV (client lifetime value) is more important...

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!! I had the worse absolutely altercation with an employee at this location. Completely rude and disrespectful for ASKING A SIMPLE QUESTION. I will not be returning to this location unless this employee is not there.

Yesterday (Black Friday 11/27/2020) two of my friends and I visited an ALDO store located at 603 5th Avenue, NY, NY 10017. Upon our arrival my friend had mentioned to me that the store is having 50% off everything. An ALDO employee heard her statement and corrected her letting us know that it was 25% off everything in store and 50% off selected items. I asked this employee which selected items the 50% is off and that’s when he said “you can read can’t you, there are signs on display read them” then my friend told this employee that he didn’t have to be rude and that’s when he walked away. I completely flipped out at this point and said I will not be buying stuff from the store and told my friends let’s leave. The employee then commented saying...

Went to an Aldo store and wasn’t able to submit a comment. Called the customer service phone number- unable to submit a comment there. I had bought a pair of black shoes from Aldo back in 2015 and the shoes lasted like 5+ years; they were great. The most recent two pairs of shoes I bought from Aldo have not lasted a year. Probably $100-$200 a pair. The first pair broke after 1 night of use- the bottom half of the shoe just split off. The second pair - the sole recently came apart. Not sure what happened, but my experience with Aldo was that my first pair from 2015 was great. My next two pairs from Aldo were not good and lasted a much shorter amount of time.
