WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAVE IN MY LIFE. I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE FURNITURE THAN GO TO THIS PLACE. NO RETURN POLICY. DO NOT GO THERE, YOU WILL REGRET. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE GOING, TELL THEM NOT TO GO. I never give bad review to anyone, but this place is so BAD that I had no choice. I don't want anyone to experience this kind of service (So traumatic and upsetting that you will suffer for weeks after they deliver your purchase). I can relate my experience to all the bad reviews that other people gave here. I can't believe that their rating is above 3 (SEE Yelp review which is more accurate). Most of the good reviews are fake as you can see they are very short, people with last name that work there, and one of the review actually attached picture in the store (you can see the street outside the store). READ BELOW FOR MY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE: I bought full bedroom set and small dining table (total cost ~$2400). Called me to tell one of the part is broken so had to reschedule the delivery. Told me that delivery will be between 12-4 pm. At 4 pm, I called the delivery guy for update that I have to leave within an hour. He replies "I will be there after I finish this delivery. It's your problem if you have to leave (no apologizing for not coming on the time frame they gave)." Then finally they showed up, set up furniture haphazardly (rushing). Put together dining table not properly and screw are not tightened, falling apart within 5 min of their set up (see pictures). PRODUCT QUALITY IS SO POOR. Wardrobe broken, don't open, and left without fixing. When I asked to fix it, they lied that "service man will come later and fix it". Left all the garbage in the apartment. When I called the Alex furniture, they hanged up phone without any conversation; manager screaming and yelling at me "you broke it. We don't return. All garbage is yours", not only that he threatened me that I was harassing him for calling to complain. I bought king size bed. Delivery men telling me "why you buy king size, your elevator is small". They parked their truck on street and someone broke side mirror and they are blaming me for it (can you imagine how unprofessional). {I guess that's the punishment they get for their misbehavior}. These delivery men are so UNPROFESSIONAL that I cannot imagine. They went to my kitchen, and grabbing milk jar, shaking without any permission whatsoever; making fun.Using my bathroom without asking for permission (I CANNOT EVEN TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO COME IN SOMEONE'S HOME). After all that, they were demanding for $50 tips LOL. I still gave them good amount of tips even after all that. And guess what before they left they loosened the screw of my front door lock when I went inside to check something (I guess because I didn't give them $50 tips). Unfortunately, nothing I can do now since I paid everything in CASH/debit card and signed the paper. I will complain in BBB and consumer affair. I don't know how this place still in business. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS REVIEW. UPDATE: few days later my wife went in person to complain and this is what they said to her "your husband was so rude, was cursing. We cannot even tell those words because it was so gruesome" (All of those are absolute lies. They should have call recording. If they can prove I cursed or was rude, I will take off this review. ONLY reason I am mentioning this here just to show how much these people lies without any hesitancy. I could not even believe that they can say such a lie. Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. All they do is lie, lie, lie. 3 weeks ago my mother ordered a dresser and mirror from them on a tuesday, paid cash. They said it would be delivered that Thursday. It was not delivered and when we called and asked about it they lied and said we said next Thursday because it had to be ordered. Not true but ok fine. The following Thursday comes around and there is a snow storm. So we really weren't expecting it to be delivered. But they never called to give us an update either. Saturday after the snow storm, we called multiple times and no one answered the phone. Ok, Monday comes again over 50 calls were made to the store no one answers. Tuesday we get a call saying that the dresser is going to be delivered today between 11am and 3pm. By 4pm we started making calls to find out if it was still going to be delivered. Guess what...no answer. At 5pm, doorbell rings, it's the delivery guys. Ok, great, except it's not the dresser we ordered. So now I'm livid. The delivery guys had the audacity to be upset that we were angry and not accept the dresser. He questioned whether we called the store. We told him how many times we've called the store with no answer. He didn't believe us. My daughter showed him on her phone that she had callef 15mins before they showed up. She even went so far as to call the store in front of him with no answer. That is when he called them from his phone and guess what...they answered. Before you ask, it was the same number, which leads me to believe they have caller id. He tells them to answer the phone the customer is calling now. Guess what, they answer the phone, for the first time in 2 weeks. As I explain the situation to the receptionist who had the audacity to tell me she always answered the phone. I got angry. She says, let the delivery guys come back and she will fix it. I asked her how do you intend on fixing it and she refused, REFUSED to tell me how. Then she said that my yelling was upsetting her and that for health reasons she's not going to continue. UPSETTING HER!!!! Now last year we furnished my mother's entire house with this furniture store. The salesman was very nice, but we were given the run around about our delivery back then as well. But at least they delivered what we actually ordered. My mother is elderly, my uncle who the dresser is for has one leg and is in a wheelchair. We needed the dresser to be a certain size to fit in his room. What they were trying to delivered was absolutely not what we ordered. It wasn't the right size, completely not the same style, it wasn't even the right color. We don't even know if if was even worth the same amount ($349)! How dare you get upset with a customer when you are COMPLETELY wrong and you won't even say how you are going to fix it! I should be concerned about your health when you are trying to rip off my elderly mother and disabled uncle. Oh the best part...the absolutely best part, is this receptionist had the audacity to hang up on me when I asked for the 3rd time how does she plan on fixing it.
This is how you run a business? This is how you treat customers? Take their money, then lie, cheat and take advantage of the elderly and disabled!
Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money, your time or sanity here. Go ANYWHERE else. Jamaica Ave has a bunch of furniture stores that all sell the same thing. I repeat, don't give them your business!
Furtermore, i believe all of their "positive reviews" were written by friends and family. I wouldn't put it past them, they lie for everything. It's kind of funny how all the bad reviews all had similar experiences with Alex Furniture store. Like they repeat the same behavior with everybody. We are prepared to sue...

My roommate and I stumbled across this furniture store and decided to go in since we were moving the following month. A man named Nader Nematalla helped us pick out two complete bedroom sets and we ended up spending nearly $4,000 dollars.
The day before our scheduled delivery the store called us and told us that the delivery should be arriving around 1pm- they did not arrive until almost 7pm. Not only did they arrive 6 hours late, but they were missing two pieces, a dresser and MY BED! Nader never told me that either piece would not be arriving. To make matters worse, while putting together one of the pieces they broke my makeup vanity that I’ve had for years. They also brought two pieces of furniture that I stated I no longer wanted and refused to take it back with them. Additionally, they left all of the boxes that came with the furniture for my roommate and I to break down and carry outside. After I called the store to complain about my missing pieces, they stated that both items would be arriving the following Saturday.
The following Saturday, the delivery man come with only one piece. When I asked where the dresser was, they said that they were told to only bring my bed. I once again called the store and asked where the dresser was, and they said they “forgot to put it in the truck”. They said that it would come the following Saturday- this would be the third Saturday I had to wait for delivery. I reached out on Thursday because I had not heard back from them and the receptionist, Nirvani Singh told me she’d ask her money- she never followed up. I found it strange so I called the actual manufacture who proceeded to tell me that the dresser had been sold out for a month and would not be back in stock for a minimum of six weeks. I then called Alex’s Furniture back and told them the information I was just provided. They didn’t even care even though they had lied to me since the moment I stepped into the store! I asked if I could get another model that was in stock and looked practically identical because I didn’t want to live out of boxes for the next 6 weeks.
Two days later I get a phone call while I’m at work from Nirvani stating that the delivery men should be at my house in about two hours. I was at work and had been giving absolutely no heads up and was forced to leave in order to sign for the delivery. I asked for the $300 back from the two items I no longer wanted, and they refused to do so. They would only give me store credit which I did not want due to the horrific experience I had.
When I called the store two months later to take them up on the store credit so my money wouldn’t go to waste, the awful receptionist Nirvani proceeded to tell me that she had nothing on file about a store credit. She asked for my receipt number which I didn’t have, and she said there’s nothing she could do. I told her to search my name, address, number and email address which her and I corresponded back in August on and she said there was nothing on file. When I told her that how is it possible that my order can’t be found when I spent almost $4,000 and had three delivers come to my house, she responded that she can’t find it and can’t help me without the code on the receipt. Therefore, I was out of my $300 worth of store credit.
Horrific customer service, liars and thieves. This has been the absolute worst experience and I will be reporting them to the Better...
