I give the Academy 5 stars!! I loved everything about the Academy and am so happy with my decision to join. I like many other students did my research on the Schools available to me in NY and found that this place had everything I wanted. I have always wanted to become a makeup artist I just needed the push in the right direction. I cannot express how much knowledge I gained by going to this Academy. I learned about makeup and the industry that follows. It was a very hands on experience and I learned through my mistakes. Amanda was there every step of the way to show us how to improve. Amanda was so thorough with all of us and explained her reasons behind doing things. I hand not recommend this place enough. The kit was fantastic; it’s great to work with as a new artist. One of the best things at the Academy was photo shoot at the end of the week which I learned so much from. Just being in that atmosphere taught me so much. I'm happy that i choose Media Makeup Acadamy to start my dream to be a makeup artist. After this one week intensive course, i got an overall idea about how to become a makeup artist which is not just know how to do the various makeup for different person, but also know how to really start and get to the market to promote myself. I really thank Amanda who is a very experenced Makeup Artist for teaching us. During this one week course, you will be teached not only by Amanda, but also couple makeup artists who is from different field,like Dianna she is doing makeup for TV Show, Judie she is more into film. So if you want to become a makeup artist, dont know which field is much fit you. Here is also an access to ask for advices. The last day of the course you got a chance to have a professional photographer to do the shoot. You can have those beautiful pictures to build up your portfolio. I can't tell you how long I wanted to take classes at Media Makeup Academy... for at least two years or more. After all the time I spent contemplating going to NYC and learning about makeup artistry from Amanda my expectations where very high. I don't think I could have been any happier with my experience.
