Small hotel located almost adjacent to LaGuardia Airport. You would miss it if you didn't know where to look. The rooms are a good sized room for a New York hotel. There is shuttle service to and from the airport for an additional fee and shuttle service to Citi Field Stadium where you can catch the 7 train or bus. Taking a cab to and from the hotel can get tricky as when you drive up to the hotel it looks like you have to be dropped off at the door of the neighbouring Loft hotel and then walk down a little hilled walkway to get to the hotel ibis lobby. Cabs can drive down to the front door of the hotel, but there is a big confusing sign at the Loft that seems like they can't and that you'll have to walk the rest of the way with your luggage. So be prepared for that. There is a fee for the hot breakfast in the lobby which probably really isn't worth it. But if you can't get to one of the many local diners, ihops, fast food restaurants, or regular sit-down restaurants, then it's an "ok" option. If I stayed here again, I wouldn't have the lobby breakfast unless I really really didn't want to bother with traveling.
That being said, I would definitely stay here again. I loved the room size and the location. Easy to and from the airport. The bus stop is a three minute walk away. And the shuttle to the train is convenient. Even when I cabbed back to the hotel and was dropped off at the Loft and had to walk down the little walkway to the ibis, it was literally like a minute walk, it wasn't terrible (if I had been drunk or carrying luggage it might have...
Read moreStayed here for a night because my flight was canceled and this place was one of the closet hotel to laguardian. First impression was 'wow this place has really unique and modern renovations'. It's definitely not your typical hotel. Room size are bigger than a usual new york hotel. The corridor to the rooms is a circle, which is very odd yet very cool. The hotel room itself is very spacious, new, clean, and has all the basic stuff that you need. However, there's still a lot of room for improvement. There's no fridge in the room, no kleenex, no coffee machine or teapot to make your own drink and there's no menu or guidelines that introduce what kind of amenities or srevives that this hotel provides. The water wasn't hot enough for the shower. Plus, the water pressure is weak even when it's put to the maximum. There's a bar/restaurant at the lobby area. The restaurant is actually located at aloft and you can use all the amenities in aloft as well. Breakfast is included, however they only have pastries to serve. They also have coffee, hot water and a water cooler at the lobby area. Customer service was great. Everybody is nice aND friendly. Only thing is that the girl who works at the front desk was have popeyes, which makes this place unprofessional and...
Read moreDo not stay here!! I spent one of the worst nights of my life thanks to them! I got to the hotel after a very long fight and to my surprise they didn't have my confirmed reservation on their system and the hotel was fully booked. The front desk did try to relocate me to another hotel which I was told was very close and that I could go to it just by walking there but half way through there I decided to walk back to the hotel and get them to call a cab as I didn't feel safe walking at 3:00 am with my luggage and was shocked that someone who is familiar with the area would recommend me walking this late at night. Once I got to the hotel where I was supposed to be relocated, they had no reservation for me and I was back to square one after 2 hours. I ended up going to the airport at 4:00 am and booking the first flight heading to my final destination. I have never experience such a terrible service with any hotel before. Unless you want to end up like me, find a better hotel...
