Wish I could give 0 stars. How are you a popular store but fail in every concept possible? I worked in retail (including fashion) during high school and half of college, I know.
I’m literally a 25 (Wasian) petite woman. Besides being part Asian, I fit Artizia’s look, even though I think I mostly look German. I mostly go to the Rockefeller center location but came here instead because I saw the reviews, seeing if people are just being over analytical thinking it’s bad service or they’re racially discriminated. Unfortunately, I was sorely mistaken.
They made me feel like I couldn’t afford anything and were watching me with eagle eyes, often approaching me every 30 seconds to ask if I need help. It’s not cute or helpful, it’s deadly annoying. Especially when 90% of the staff sounded like they came from Cali with the Silicone Valley accent.
After searching for the things I needed, I went on the dressing room line and had about at least five dresses items on my arm, the girls who were working there who were around my age, were looking up and down at me with a grimace and gave me an attitude when it was my turn because I ruined their cute little conversation when they were supposed to doing their job. I noticed they gave this look to other POC women as well, mostly Black and Asian women, which is really not okay. Dressing room was so disorganized and unregulated, made me feel claustrophobic. I’m a financial analyst with six figures, lol, like do you want to make a sale from my money or not?
When I went to pay for my things, only after I purchased they told me they had a return policy of 10 days. Since I already shopped at another location, I already knew that but I’m assuming I was a first time customer and thought they could finesse me lol. First thought was that they definitely did this to vulnerable customers, so watch out, everyone. I wasn’t going to write this review until the disaster of my $200 outfit. Washed it two times per instructions and it ripped completely, this never happens! But I guess now Artizia is going to be a hit or miss.
You had years of bad reviews. Try to fix them— oh, and maybe try to hire actual qualified people! It’s like all of them lied on their resumes saying they had experience in customer service, is there a requirement for checkbox “I’m racist” instead? The only good thing about this place is the tiny cafe. You need to fire some managers too, it’s obvious on how to differentiate them between the associates too, put HR with this please. Thanks.
Do yourself a favor and don’t come here ever again, UNIQLO is pretty similar since it’s pretty much a basic style but the cost is less and I’ve never had a bad experience at...
Read moreI have been shopping at Aritzia online and stores for about 3 years now. Thus far, my experience at Aritzia soho has been an overall great one. The stylists are always super helpful and will always work something out if I end up not liking an item that I bought and make sure that I am happy with my purchases. The stylists that I spoke with were not snobby or act like they are all that. This made me super comfortable in shopping at the Aritzia soho.
However, a couple days ago, there was one staff member that made me feel super uncomfortable. I needed to return an item because I ordered 2 of the same items, but in different sizes. Before I ordered the two sizes, I was assured that I would be able to return one of them to my card since I was ordering 2 of the same items and wanted to find the right size. I told this to the Aritzia soho representative that was helping me and she gave a nasty Nasty attitude. She made me feel sooo uncomfortable. She said this is the final exception and this is the only time you can do this type of return. She did not put herself in a customer's shoes. What if she was the one that wanted to return the item? What if the item she bought was not the right size? How would she feel if someone said to her, "no this is unacceptable, you cannot return this to your card". To me, that made me perceive her as a selfish, inflexible, strict, unempathetic employee. We are all human, and change our mind sometimes with clothes once we try them on in store or at home. I really really hope that she was a one off and Aritzia Soho does not keep hiring these types of employees. Otherwise, people will feel more uncomfortable shopping there because they might leave unhappy or go home with something they don't love but am stuck with.
Aritzia prides itself with "providing world class service and customer care". This experience was the opposite of what I received. Instead, I was met with an inflexible, passive...
Read moreFirst time shopping at this store, bought a pair of pants that I liked without having much time to check the size and fit because the store was so crowded. Tried them on at home realized they were too small, went back the following day to exchange them for the next size up only to find that the lady gave me the wrong receipt so I basically had a receipt showing I spent significantly less money than I actually did and the item I wanted to exchange was obviously not on it. I pulled up the transaction to show them on my bank account and they still couldn’t help me. They were extremely frustrated as if this was my fault that their employee gave me the wrong receipt even though I was polite about the situation. They even took the pants from me that I paid for as if they were confiscating stolen merchandise. Finally after calling customer service (who also was declining to help me) they finally let me exchange it for the new size but I’m sure you can imagine, I’m not able to ever return this, so hope these fit. I tried these on so I’m sure they’ll fit but still - it is an extra sting on top of what happened, as if they think I’m making it up. I feel humiliated and the entire time they acted as if I had done something wrong. they could have checked security footage if they really didn’t believe me, with the timestamp on the transaction I showed them the credit card purchase from my bank? Anyways, left feeling pretty embarrassed and upset. They didn’t even apologize for the mix up with the receipt. The strange thing is, the day prior when I had bought the pants, the employee who sold them to me had two receipts in her hand and double checked it before putting it in my bag. After all of this I wonder if it was on purpose that I received the wrong one. I won’t be shopping at this company again. I can easily get similar style with better quality and service elsewhere....
