For the last 20+ years, I have had the opportunity to work with several recruitment firms, both as an employer, and as a job seeker. Jaclyn Izzo from AscendHire is by far THE BEST I’ve ever worked with!

Jaclyn and I first interacted back in May 2020, because she saw my resume on a job posting sight as a potential match for one of her clients. After speaking with me directly via phone, we both agreed that the position would not be a good fit for me.

Even so, our conversation continued and Jaclyn dug deeper through my job history and gave me several pointers on how I could improve my resume. The phone call finally ended with Jaclyn stating that she would keep my resume on file in the event a position opened up that she felt would be a good fit for both me and her client. At this point, I thought to myself, “yeah right, my resume would simply be discarded as was the case with numerous other recruiters I had worked with in the past.

But not Jaclyn Izzo! Even after 3 years had passed since our initial conversation, Jaclyn called me stating that she found the perfect position for me. She even recalled specific details discussed during our previous conversation over 3 years ago.

Once I expressed interest in the position, Jaclyn performed her magic! Not only was she extremely professional, Jaclyn treated me as if I was her only client. She never rushed me off the phone - truly cared about me as a person (and not just another applicant). Additionally, every email Jaclyn had sent me , she always followed up with a phone call. If for some reason I had missed her call, she would follow up every few hours until she was finally able to reach me.

Jaclyn’s commitment didn’t stop there! No exaggeration, for every email I had sent her, I would receive a response to my questions from her within minutes. In addition, any request I made to Jaclyn, which required further research or investigation, 9 times out of 10 Jaclyn had an answer for me either that same day, but never later than the day after.

Ultimately, Not only did I get the job earning more money and substantially better benefits, I’m privileged to be working with such a great staff whom are some of the top players in their given fields.

All this and more and all thanks to Jaclyn Izzo.

Simply put, if you are ever in need of a recruiter within the tristate area (whether as an employer or as a job seeker), you would be a fool for not reaching out to Jaclyn Izzo...

I need to apologize for posting the below review prematurely - at the time I genuinely felt it was true - the staff was lovely to work with but eventually left me hanging - just flat out disappeared. I was concerned and thought something happened - a fire, a health issue or something like that. It has been months and until today not even the courtesy of a return phone call with my messages literally asking “please just let me know you are ok.” Maybe they decided I wasn’t right for the job after all and honestly that’s ok - it is not Ok however to disregard and ignore someone and pleas - literal pleas for communication. I should have posted this earlier - but I didn’t realize the review was still being seen. It just felt disingenuous to not make the correction after what happened. I have no hard feelings - just makes me sad that people still think it’s ok to string someone along - especially in a situation like this where I was genuinely looking to find a job I could do well and make a difference for my employer. Maybe they decided they didn’t like me - but it doesn’t make the level disrespect they dished out ok. Again my apology for the delay in correction. I will take the post down soon - just wanted those of you who considered it to be aware of my experience so you can make a more informed decision - hopefully your experience will be different. can not say enough about the staff at Ascend Hire - in short, however - consummate professionals with a personal touch!
