I use station to change from Q B line to 2 line. To do this need to elevate one floor twice. There are elevators for both ends of station for handicapped & ladies w baby carriages or little kids in tow, & people setting up small merchandise tables, & exhausted customers. With regular use of these found elevator disabled only once. There are posted signs telling where to go if elevator is out usually involving taking roundabout alternative route which would involve more time & effort. Downside- even tho MTA has included features like extra handrails & some public beautifying artwork, it's a transition point & not a sightseeing walk in the park. If you're not circumspect you could bump into people & in summer not a spot for fresh air. At times it's a gallery of persons asking for money (not always), so keep some dollars for easy quick access to donate & that successive times. Efficient train station that has lines that can take you to Coney Island, Bay Ridge, Sunset Park, Bensonhurst, East Flatbush, Prospect/Crown Heights, East New York, and Brownsville. The 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains come every minute. The B and Q train come every 3 to 5 minutes and RARELY has any delays, the D train will take a while to get to Coney Island when runs over New Utrecht Ave and 86th St, the R train takes FOREVER to reach Bay Ridge and crawls between stations, the N train might take a while but when you get on, it is worth the wait, especially when it goes express at Sea Beach unless there is a D train turning onto the New Utrecht/West End line.
