I’ve been coming to this establishment since I was a child. Up until recently, I’ve never had any issues. However, there is a newer staff member whose behavior has been consistently unprofessional and, frankly, concerning.
On multiple occasions, I’ve experienced rude and hostile behavior from her. For example, during one visit, when I tried to get closer to see the zelle code on her phone (she voluntarily showed us her phone) she reacted as if I was a threat, loudly shouting “no” repeatedly. Both I and my friend were shocked because what was she implying? That we were going to steal her phone? Screaming “No touching.” We were literally trying to scan the code. I found this reaction completely unnecessary and offensive especially when you see me here at least 11 times a month. Despite being a regular customer for years, she treated me as though I was criminal, which felt racially motivated.
Yesterday was the final straw. While trying to ask about my payment when no one was there, she dismissed me and even went so far as to physically push my hand while I was using my phone. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially considering she continued speaking in her language and making rude comments while ignoring my requests. Not now." I immediately told her not to touch me, which is a reasonable request, but instead of apologizing, she ignored me and continued talking to another customer. That customer even approached me later, telling me not to let her behavior bother me and to focus on "peace and love." Even he acknowledged that her attitude was out of line.
My main concern is the fact that she felt comfortable enough to physically touch a customer to the point of assaulting them. That is not how anyone should be treated. If she had simply asked me to wait, I would have understood, but instead, she escalated the situation by being aggressive and unprofessional.
When I tried to speak with another staff member to avoid further conflict with her and grab my food, she continued to insist I come to her, despite my clear discomfort. I made it very clear I wasn’t going to her because she’s weird. At one point, a gentleman from the back came out and while in the middle of me complaining to him he started apologizing for her behavior, acknowledging that I’ve never had issues before, she started screaming from across the room like a manic, causing a scene and making everyone in the kitchen stare at her. Her reaction was completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
The way she treats customers, including rolling her eyes and throwing cash on the counter when accepting payments, shows a complete lack of customer service skills. Everyone else at this establishment has been friendly, but her behavior stands out as rude and disrespectful. This is not the first time I’ve observed her acting this way, and it is disappointing to experience.
Unfortunately, due to these repeated negative experiences with her, I don’t think I’ll be returning. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as no customer should ever feel disrespected or uncomfortable, especially in a place they’ve supported for 10+ years to even bringing others...
Read moreMy parents came by to get some food this past weekend since they were coming to visit my husband & I in NJ. Now, it's nothing to write home about. We have been coming to this place since I was young when the old owners were still there. And at that time it was always packed. These new owners need to learn so much. Their food is mediocre. Their general tso's chicken is so spicy we couldn't eat more than a few bites. Even the tartar sauce did not help. It should not be that spicy nor should it be that much red coloring. Come on. You guys don't know? My mom isn't a chef but even she cooks better than you guys. The hunan beef wasn't great. The beef was a bit hard whereas the old owners made it so soft, you didn't even need to chew it. They also got the fried fish with fried rice. The rice, while it was ok, the fish was not. There was a whole like of bones in there. Now, if a small child would have eaten it, what would happen? You need to think of all these things not just one thing. Shrimp wasn't the same also. The coating was very rubbery. No crispness. DO BETTER. They spent $60 for what?!?!?!?!?! Mediocre food. The price is just outrageous. That's why there's not a lot of people coming to your place. Don't you get it? We are very old customers but it's sad you guys don't know how to cook Chinese food & you're...
Read moreWe recently visited NYC with one of our children in order to get them set up in the City for their first year of college. My wife booked a great little airbnb close to the Barclay Center.
Our last night in town was pretty quiet, after a long day and incredibly long weekend. We knew that we would be saying goodbye to our child for the foreseeable future so we just wanted to order in and relax at the airbnb.
After searing google for a few minutes, No Pork Halal popped up. So, we gave it at try. We placed an order, walked to the store front (no, minimal seating - pretty much pick-up only), paid and grabbed our meal in less than 30 minutes (including walking time).
For the price, the meal was excellent. The service was friendly, prompt, and attentive. The place was packed with people (always a good sign) picking up to go orders.
So, if you're looking to feed your family at a reasonable price and you love quick-pick Chinese food, then this is your place. If you want pork fried rice, however, you're out of luck. We went for the chicken and...
