Don't write reviews but felt I had to due to the way I was treated at this store. Went in 45 minutes before they closed to purchase the Classic Silver City Handbag in Black. A week prior to this I tried to purchase the purse at Saks but they didn't have it in stock. I ubered into Manhattan from Westchester just to purchase this bag and was so excited to finally buy it! I went downstairs and pointed to the version of it in silver and asked a sales associate if they had it in stock with the hardware and color I wanted. He told me they didn't, which came as a surprise to me considering my request was for a very basic color, Black. I talked to him about the various leather types they had then asked again if they had the purse since I had driven for an hour just to purchase it. Keep in mind I'm a young 23 year old asian female and I was dressed reasonably - in cropped flared jeans, sandals and a white lace top. However he quickly and confidently said they didn't have it, without even checking in the back. Finally, ten minutes before closing and after looking around I headed upstairs and was going to meet my mother for dinner. Turns out she was nearby so popped in to meet me. Upon seeing my mom upstairs, on the first floor, I told her they didn't have the purse I wanted and how sad I was. Another sales associate overheard this and asked which purse I was looking for. I told her and she told me that they definitely had it! She was extremely nice and said this all while smiling suggesting I go back downstairs and ask someone. Confused, I went downstairs and asked again, telling the same Asian male sales associate that someone upstairs said that they had it in stock. My mother came downstairs after a quick walk through and asked him to check. THEN he came out with the purse, explaining how they must have just got it in and how this was the last one so he must have missed it. I asked if they had another version of it I could look at. He said they didn't. I then asked if they had another version even in any other color solely so I could look at the smaller sized grain option. Another sales associate heard him tell me they didn't and suggested that the first sales associate check again. When the sales associate was checking, the other associate working the floor told me not to worry because he knew they had more in the back. The sales associate went to check and miraculously found another bag. I ended up purchasing the bag but the whole experience was made sour due to the way this sales...
Read moreOn February 26th, I dropped off a pair of Balenciaga speed trainers for repair. I spent over an hour in store while two associates assisted me. They couldn’t locate the exact style on their device so it took them a while to look it up on their end.
I also informed them beforehand that these were a gift to me from my grandmother back in late December. They told me that a receipt wasn’t required as long as it was purchased 2 years ago.
When they were unable to locate the exact same style on their device, they did ask if I could try to locate the receipt & I told them that I would try to reach out to the daughter for an electronic receipt perhaps, but couldn’t guarantee it. I didn’t have a gift receipt for the item myself. The associates told me that while a receipt wasn’t necessary or required, it would be ideal in order to know the exact style code for the shoes I dropped off.
I spent over an hour in their store just for their store manager, Mr. Mumtaz, to inform me that the repair specialists can’t proceed with repairing the shoes without a receipt. I wish your in store representatives would’ve communicate this to me in store instead of having me waste my time for no reason. On top of that, I waited a few weeks to be informed that their repair center refused to repair my shoes.
Horrible experience. What they tell you in person/store doesn’t match with what they’ll tell you via email. So be prepared to experience a huge disappointment from the people who work at...
Read moreThis was the worst designer experience I've ever had. Upon walking into the building, I was appropriately greeted. I was looking to purchase shoes but I also wanted to browse. I went downstairs and had a question about a top, I asked one of the staff members and they acted as if I wasn't there. AT ALL. Like the queen's guard, they didn't even look at me. I asked again in case it was a matter of hearing and NOTHING. They side-eyed me and continued to ignore me. As someone who has worked in experiential marketing and fashion, customer service is KEY - regardless of how pretentious the establishment. Overall - very weird and made me change my otherwise positive perception...
