This review enlightens others of an experience of what membership means to this VAS.

Thank you Dave, the one who coordinates membership.

Clearly you don’t want to rescind the wrongful decision of terminating a member who asked and went on educational leave to their knowledge, as no one answered this members email, yet they were placed on personal leave “generously”. Then after 3 months, the member gets terminated for not showing up unknown to their knowledge and was assumed to have disappeared and not pulling tours.

The member coordinator then makes up a rule (going to school outside of NYS?) that would allow going on educational leave when confronted, yet nowhere in the Committee Bylaws does it say so - only if the member knew such a rule existed if whomever controls the GOVAC membership committee email would have answered their email and shared this insightful rule with this member.

So, the member gets terminated unethically without notice on grounds of falsity.

When looking for resolution of, the membership coordinator couldn’t care any less.

Keep the wrongful termination. I will bring my membership to another Volunteer Ambulance Service that actually cares for its members and where communication maintains transparency as it should be in society.

Remember that the members who give their time for the community actually matter. It should never be a matter of “Im in a position and can do whatever pleased”.
