The experience at Kuttanadan Restaurant's new location was truly exceptional. The ambience played a significant role in enhancing the overall dining experience. The new location boasts a more spacious and inviting setting, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating. It creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Now, let's talk about the food. I had the pleasure of savoring a variety of dishes. The beef cutlets were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, providing a delightful crunch with each bite. The porotta was soft and flaky, a perfect complement to the flavorful dishes. The chicken curry and chicken biriyani were both highlights of the meal. The curry was rich and aromatic, and the biriyani was a symphony of spices and perfectly cooked rice and chicken. Each dish showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity.
But what truly stood out, apart from the delectable food, was the staff. They were not only professional in their service but also incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their warmth and willingness to assist with menu choices and special requests added a personal touch to the dining experience.
In summary, Kuttanadan Restaurant's new location offers significant improvements in terms of ambience and food quality. The beef cutlets, porotta, chicken curry, and chicken biriyani were all delicious, and the staff's professionalism and friendliness made the visit even more memorable. I can confidently say that this restaurant has become a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic and delightful...
Read moreThird time eating here. First 2 times were very good but What a disappointment today. I threw away 40 bucks. I called in my order. Chicken curry Beef ulaf Had to wait an hour because they never have enough help. Picked up my food. place now looks dingy to me and a little depressing. People seem unenthusiastic.
So I got home (I live 25 minutes away) and guess what No rice!! How can you charge 20 and $23 for dishes and not include rice! You can't eat this stuff without rice! I had to go out to a Chinese place and buy a quart of rice for another $4 And because I forgot to say boneless chicken curry I was given boned chicken curry and let me tell you the emphasis is on bone. I wish the guy had asked me over the phone instead of assuming I wanted boned chicken. maybe they just wanted to get rid of it. And the beef ulaf? Well now I'm not going to question myself for getting the same things all the time when I eat out. I tried something new and this was dry and terrible. and did I tell you there was no rice to mix it with????! The best thing about the meal was the sauce from the chicken curry over the Chinese white rice. Just cost me 40 bucks for that. The only reason I'm leaving this review is because when I called back to ask them why I didn't have any rice in my order nobody answered the phone the five times I tried. So here is my review. Never going back. Below is a past review.
I thought the food here was terrific! I forgot what I ordered.. two chicken dishes.. but it was fantastic. the owner is very friendly warm and welcoming, the food tasted...
Read moreHad lunch on NYE. We thought it was Santoor when we decided to go but the menu is labeled Kuttanadan and has a lot of Kerala dishes which Santoor never had. The lunch buffet was a bit sparse (two meat but only one veg) and we wanted leftovers to take home, so we ordered a la carte. Overall the food was standard fare, good but nothing that would compel us to rush back, esp. for the prices they're charging. For example, the menu said the mutter paneer was 14, bill had 16+, but we think that was the credit card upcharge. (The bill shows a cash discounted price option at the bottom. A menu or receipt with cash vs credit prices per item would have been more transparent.) The mutter paneer was fresh and tasty, the goat curry ($22 on menu) was good but lots of bones, the Naan was fresh and soft. My bro wanted lamb but they were out so he got shrimp, he said it was OK but that the goat was better. The samosa filling was a little too mushy for me. Service was OK, staff is friendly. Food took long to come out but that's on us because we ordered a la carte while they were offering the lunch buffet. I must say everything was freshly made and good, just not exceptional. The dining area is very clean and they were playing modern remixes of old Bollywood tunes that we really enjoyed to so that's a plus. Not everything is on the menu so ask if don't see what you want - while ordering Naan to take home for our leftovers we found learned they have alu paratha which is not...
