My friend raves about the buffet at this spacious Indian restaurant located near a small shopping area. There is paid parking out front but, the parking is free in the back. They haven't been back since COVID but, they been on numerous occasions with their family prior. We came on a Saturday morning to take advantage of their $15ish lunch buffet deal. Upon entry, we were promptly seated and got our plates. The buffet was a bit smaller than in the past. They had one soup, salad, 3 appetizers, naan, white rice, a chicken dish, dahl, goat curry, and a veg entree and two desserts. The food was tasty but, I wish there was more of a selection. The dahl and the chicken tasted delicious but, the chicken had bones in it. I don't really care for bones in my curry. While the staff did a good job keeping the buffet stocked, one time I picked up naan and it was still doughy. My friend and I both enjoyed our meal and thought it was an affordable price. I am not sure if they have a rotating menu but, I can understand why this is a neighborhood favorite because of the tasty food at affordable prices. The staff was friendly but, one of our waiters was a bit absent-minded. She sat us down and didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink nor did she check in on us.

We took our parents here for their 40th wedding anniversary dinner. We had a wonderful time! 1. The staff is so friendly and treats you like family. Several of the staff members (chef included) came to our table and we had a lot of pleasant conversation. 2. The place is clean and spacious. It's well-lit and not loud at all. 3. The food was delicious! The chef told us about one of his specialty dishes (Shrimp Tawa Masala) which we did order and is a must try if you love seafood. The Lamb Rogan Josh was perfectly tender and the Naan was soft and buttery. 4. There was no shortage of drinks flowing and the bartender was very attentive to whenever anyone needed a refill. 5.They brought out complimentary desserts for the whole table since we were celebrating a special occasion. This is a great family friendly place and serves amazing food. It has been under new management several times, but the quality of food and service has not suffered. We plan on coming back many times! Thank you Santoor!

Today was the first time that I attended this restaurant since they changed management and it is far from what it was... I got 4 dishes for takeout and they were cold, even though I live approximately 20 mins away and I waited to order in person. I have been to multiple Indian restaurants and I have never been served this type of rice; we have always received basmati rice and this was not it (as per picture). They gave us 4 big containers of bland rice, which was overcooked and mushy (basically baby food). We had to throw away all the rice because it was truly unappetizing. The rest of the food was not flavorful even though we asked for medium spice and it felt watered down. Lastly, I have never seen such tiny samosas and not at all like the ones we have eaten under the previous management. Overall, we will never return

I had an order placed for a surprise party I was hosting for about 30 people. The order that was placed was for 1 Full tray of Vegetable fried rice, 1 Deep tray of Chicken Tikka Masala, 1 Full tray of Mixed Grill, 1 Full tray of Palak Paneer, and 20 Pieces of Naan. I set the date and time for pick up on September 18 @ 1pm. I arrived 15 mins early and had to wait till 1:20pm to receive my items. I explained to him a few times this is for a surprise party and we needed to have this food setup at a specific time but he really didn't care. When they finally rolled out the cart of trays, everything was packed tight and I asked him if everything is there that we ordered and he assured it was. I did not want to start taking off foil and making a mess to double check (which was my mistake). I then pulled out the check I was going to pay with and he says an amount that was nearly DOUBLE the amount that was told to us ($360). I told him to call his boss SHIBU and figure it out because I already wrote the check for $360. He then says $380 and I told him "No, you're getting paid what you quoted me at." He quickly agreed. After getting home and setting up, we realized that they did not include the Full tray of Palak Paneer. We called them immediately and they said they would get back to me. The next day I had called and spoke with SHIBU who insisted he can't do anything because the incompetent employee who took the order didn't write Palak Paneer on the order and wrote Deep Trays instead of Full trays for everything else. He stated that the restaurant took a loss on my order and can not refund anything. This is just a common tactic these restaurants do to make more profit. They skip out on items, then "screw up" the check and then pass the...

I used to come here a lot since the 90's till December 2019. It was my local favorite spot for their 16 course buffet. I came here today and it was not the same. The food tasted terrible. I think management changed. The weekend buffet in the past always had paneer, 3 types of pakoras, pani puri, chicken chilly, chat masala, goat and chicken tikka masala and they didn't have it. The goan fish curry had no flavor, the chicken malai kebab was too sour with yogurt. They raised the prices of the buffet which I don't mind if the food was worth it. They Don't cater to Indians but more of the non Indians. It's a shame because I was looking for a nice dining experience with my parents but we left there hungry and dissatisfied. I'm never coming back here again. I work at LIJ Hospital and I used to refer people to go here but I will definitely tell them it's not worth it. The food taste and buffet selections are aweful plus they when the bull came they had suggested tip percentage they automatically added 20% to the bill without my consent. Again i have spent money on expensive restaurants and I tip very well bases on my dining experience. This place didn't deserve a 20% tip. I didn't wanna make a scene and I paid and left. There are better restaurants in this location please try somewhere else. Sorry santoor you...

This was my go-to place for lunch buffet…it was always amazing and inexpensive…pre-pandemic…but we all know about the cost of things now, but does quality and choice have to suffer??? Apparently at santoor now, they really don’t exist!!! I’m used to a buffet with many delicious choices…saag paneer is a STAPLE along with aloo gobi and more…so I went there recently for their $16 buffet (actually reasonable by todays standards) and it was a carnivores delight with very few vegetable choices!! The tandoor chicken and other chicken dish (there was goat too but not a fan!!) were fine as was the naan…but that was really it…there was a salad (boring), dal, and some weird veggie dish made of something that tasted a little like cabbage but not completely…and that was about it!! I don’t recall an appetizer (unless it was so boring I just forgot!)…and when I asked about other vegetables, I was told I could just BUY them as a supplement…which I did NOT do!!! I remember santoor always being busy for lunch…it was pretty empty when we went and I can’t see many people running here, and sadly, all my happy memories of santoor are in the past and I will never return unless I hear they’ve gone back to their original amazing buffet…charge $2 more if you must, but what you have now is sad and...
