I wanted to give a big shout out to the team at Burton NYC, you all do it right and each and every experience I have had here reminds me of why I am a loyal Burton customer and what it means to have a shop you can trust and one that shares the same passion for the sport and the products. I enjoy all aspects of Burton products from the design, the quality, the history, the colorways, the functionality or simply the huge variety of styles and its great to feel the same enthusiasm from everyone here when often times other retail employees could care less and are just doing a job. That is not the case at Burton NYC, they make everyone feel comfortable and enthused about snowboarding no matter what their experience level. You can tell they are genuinely excited about the products and sharing their recommendations or talking the latest limited edition drop. This is how you want your retail experience to be every time and I have received the same level of customer service whether in-person or over the phone. I live far from the store and have ordered over the phone from them and it has been a super easy and painless process. Do not hesitate to reach out direct if there is something you are looking for, every time my order shipped immediately out to me. I would highly recommend Burton NYC and it all starts with the manager. Pete does a fantastic job running a great shop and putting together an even better team! He has even offered to help me personally if I need it and thats not the kind of personal support you usually get. JP also deserves a big shout out for his passion around the brand and all he does on social media to promote the sport. He is always willing to offer insight or help me locate exactly what I need. Burlington take notice, you guys are doing it right in NYC, Thanks for everything you guys do!...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Burton customer for years, but I’ve never had an experience quite like the ones I’ve had at the Burton NY Flagship store. Over the past few months, I’ve visited the store twice, and both times, Peter, the manager, went above and beyond to help me out.
The first time was when I was looking to purchase a new snowboard. I’d had a bad experience buying a board in the past, so I wasn't feeling great making another big purchase. Peter took the time to really listen to my experience, walk me through all the options, and help me figure out the perfect board for me. He never once made me feel rushed or pressured, and he made sure I left the store feeling confident and excited about my purchase. It was such a refreshing and positive experience.
The second time I visited the store, I was dealing with an issue with my gear that was making it hard to start the season. Once again, Peter stepped in and completely saved the day. He personally looked into my issue, explained what was going on, and worked to get everything resolved so I could get back to riding.
The rest of the staff at the store have been fantastic whenever I've visited. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help. The store has such a great vibe, and it’s clear that the team really loves snowboarding.
After years of being a Burton customer, these experiences truly set the NY Flagship store apart. Peter and the rest of the team are the definition of amazing customer service. Whether you’re shopping for new gear, need expert advice, or have a problem that needs solving, this is the place to go. They’ve earned my loyalty all over again, and I can’t recommend them...
Read moreThis was handsdown the best experience I’ve ever had in a retail shop.
First, the staff tried to help make the existing gear I had work for me (vs. try and sell me something new). I had brought in my newly purchased DC boots that just weren’t fitting right. Instead of trying to sell me new boots, the staff heated the moldable inserts from my DCs. In the end I went with a new pair of Burton boots, but I’ve got to say, the Burton staff never once were disparaging of the DC product (and I got to that decision because head to head, the Burton boots were just a better fit, and frankly just a better boot).
I was back in the store on a separate occasion because, through nobody’s fault but my own, I hadn’t realized that my Burton board (well over a decade old) wasn’t compatible with my new Burton bindings. Long story short, I was supposed to be taking my 5 year old snowboarding and was in a pinch -- Pete (the store manager) thought through the options with me and in the end volunteered to lend me a board (that would work with my binding setup) because he was determined that I didn’t miss the opportunity to take my son.
Through this experience I got to know Pete, the store manager. He is a gem of a human being and it’s obvious from spending some time with Pete that the culture of his staff and the ethos of the store starts at the top -- through...
