Carmine's Cigars — Local services in New York

Honestly, I was disrespected. I was told, by an employee, that I was hurting the business.... I purchased a cigar, from this establishment some time ago, for my wife. It was for an event we were going to, but she didn't get to enjoy it at that time. My wife, our friend, and I went to Carmine's for a hangout, and I brought that cigar back for my wife to finally enjoy in their lounge. I, of course, purchased a cigar for myself, and our friend purchased for himself, as well. The employee grabbed me by my arm to talk to me in "private" and told me that there was 3 of us and only 2 cigars was purchased. I explained to him that the third cigar was purchased previously and just brought back. The employee said I can't do that because that hurts the business. What exactly did I do that hurt the business? This employee talked to me as if I was a squatter, and I was beneath the other customers. I wasn't a regular, but I was becoming one. Unfortunately, because of this occurrence, I don't know if I can go back to the establishment that made me...

What a great cigar shop. This is how its supposed to be. This is a beautiful cigar shop and lounge. Excellent friendly knowlegable service. Im not a regular cigar smoker but needed cigars for a special occasion. Jimmy was exceptional and helped me with their huge selection. This is a high class establishment exreemly welcoming and comfortable from the moment you step in you know your in the right place for cigars . Now I have a great place to go to pick up cigars for gifts. But be forewarned as after visiting Carmines I find myself wanting to partake and indulge myself into this invitingly enticing world of cigars and bring friends along for the journey. I guess now I see how easy it is to really fall in love and enjoy a great cigar at a truly lovely place to experience one. 5 stars all the way. Great Place, Nice Selection, a lot of high end cigars. 3 issues, I am a cigar guy and as far as prices I feel like there a little much. Next issue was the fact that they don’t accept cards. They do have an ATM on site but soon cash will be obsolete and not everyone carries cash. Last one there’s a lot of boutique cigars out there that are making noise in the cigar industry, but this lounge does not carry any they only sell big brand names. other than those minor issues that can be fixed it’s great place, friendly...
