Carole Cohen Photography — Local services in New York

Carole photographed a few of my husband’s friends’ weddings prior to ours. As soon as he showed me photos, I wanted her for our wedding. And, as soon as I met her over Zoom, I insisted on it. We booked her a year in advance of our October 2023 wedding date, just to make sure nobody else got to her first!

Carole has the cool confidence you want in a photographer. Neither my husband nor I are particularly comfortable in front of a camera, so Carole’s easygoing and expert guidance really put us at ease – leading up to the wedding and during it. She found special and secluded spots for our first look and family photos, and she deftly navigated NYC foot traffic (and car traffic, actually) during our pre-ceremony shoot. She was unflappable and playful while keeping the unruly groomsmen and chatty bridal party in line. During the ceremony and reception, she was everywhere and invisible at the same time - moving around the space with ease, without being intrusive. She even stayed a little longer than agreed to make sure she captured some of the dancing. (Thank you, Carole!)

From the ~70 sample photos she shared within a few days of the wedding, we can see that she beautifully captured authentic moments and emotions in both the candid and posed photos. She (over) delivered against the brief, and we can’t wait to see...

We are so happy we chose Carole to be our photographer for our big day in Brooklyn. Right from the start, she was very flexible and present for all our talks and inquiries, from meeting in person to taking our calls after work hours. We also felt like we clicked with her as soon as we met as she lived in our neighborhood and also loved to travel and we shared similar interests so she already felt like a friend! Carole understood our aesthetics and vision right away and worked with us and we felt really listened to and we went into our wedding feeling very confident about our choice to have her capture our special day. During the shoots, we really felt good about how she shared our excitement but also helped us relax and feel more natural! She was amazing with our family and friends (and doggy) and really captured all the special moments in a beautiful and candid way. Carole was a fantastic photographer for our wedding. She knew great spots for our first look photos in Greenpoint. She made us both feel happy and comfortable throughout all of the posed photos during the day. She also did a great job capturing the candid moments of our wedding.

In addition, she got us a bunch of edited photos within a week or two of our wedding, which we really appreciated. Her photos came out gorgeous and Carole did an amazing job capturing every special moment we shared with each other, our friends and family and how we felt on our big day. At the end of the day, we’ll always have our memories from our wedding but having amazing photos really does add a lot.
