I went yesterday with my two boys to get our first ever seasonal rentals. This shop was clean and organized. George (co-owner) was professional, helpful and calm. I called ahead to ask if I needed an appointment and he told me I could just pop in. I am so glad I did. I checked with the prices of other seasonal rentals online and Cold Mountain is by far the best price you will get in Manhattan (maybe even better than outside of Manhattan!). Cold Mountain Ski Rental & Sale is a hidden gem on the Upper East Side—super easy and convenient. They offer a large selection and great customer service. I have two kids, ages 12 and 15, and it took about 45min to size them and get them fitted with new skis for the season. You can rent by the day, for the season, or purchase outright. While the steps down to the shop are steep, it’s absolutely worth the visit if you’re gearing up to ski this winter. The freebies were nice too....
