before getting into details - I’ve been coming to this practice since 2019 and if I ever moved out of the city, I’d try to find a way to come back 2x a year. I have recommended Cosmopolitan Dental to everyone I know and will continue to!
now…I’m a dentist’s worst nightmare. I didn’t have dental care til I was an adult. like many, I’ve had traumatic past dental visits (unnecessary fillings, wisdom tooth extraction that cracked my jaw, etc) which made me more distrustful of dentists. I have a phobia of medical needles, and the ones dentists use are like the syringes from the Victorian period that were basically torture devices?? so suffice it to say I hated the dentist as much as (if not more) than anyone. I was ready to avoid the dentist til my teeth rotted out of my face… then I came to this practice.
my original dentist (since moved) deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. she helped me overcome a lot of my fears, built a relationship with me, and always took into account my dental history. my new dentist (shoutout Dr. Rebecca!!) is just as warm, caring, patient when I have 384738 questions, and straightforward and honest about treatment. I’ve been seen by both Dr. Zelig (endodontic specialist) and Dr. Nazarian (for an urgent case) and they were great too. Dr. Nazarian is also a pretty cool guy and puts on good music at the office sometimes. I’m loyal to Dr. Rebecca but I have had such a positive experience that I trust any dentist at this practice.
and everyone, EVERYONE at Cosmopolitan Dental is skilled at making patients comfortable and welcome. I have never once felt like they didn’t have my best interest in mind. all the hygienists and DAs I’ve seen here are kind, gentle, and have impeccable bedside manner. the front desk staff are THE best and most helpful you’ll encounter in NYC. everyone treats you like a PERSON, not just a patient. I feel grateful to have access to this level of care and professionalism...
Read moreWent here over a year ago for dental work a few times due to convenience to GCT, not my best dental experience. They basically overcharged me, created more visits than needed, and more than one of their staff members crossed a line regarding their role medically speaking. I meant to write a review sooner but I did not get a chance, they sent me email reminding me for a followup visit, hence why I was reminded to write a review. I sent their office a reply email with a link to this review stating I won’t be returning to this dental office.
I last came here in June of 2024, I came for routine dental cleaning, they said they needed to do multiple visits as it was a lot for them to do the entire cleaning in one visit. They found a cavity which they removed acceptably but they made sure to get me the extra dental cleaning visits before hand to ensure they got paid more than one time. During each visit, their dental assistants asked me about any other medical conditions I had and I initially answered what I had to help them address any dental issues they encountered. After asking about my other medical conditions, they began giving unsolicited medical advice about my other conditions to which I told them “this for my PCP to handle, you are just here to clean teeth, do that job only” on second visit, when different staff members did same thing I warned them they lost points on Zocdoc review for this to which they quickly got quiet upon hearing that.
I told others about my experience going here and others agreed they caused more than one visit to ensure more earnings. Between this office creating more visits than necessary to get paid more, between their staffs unprofessional unsolicited medical advice, and the location no longer being one convenient to me, I will not be returning to do any further business with this...
Read moreFirst let me say I have the absolute WORST fear of dentists, compounded by the fact I had a terrible experience with a quack doctor in Florida. I was referred to Dr. Nazarian by a friend who had absolutely beautiful teeth. When I booked the appointment with Helen, I tried to explain how terrified I was and she assured me it wouldn't be a problem and that I was in good hands. I was skeptical.
When I arrived at my appointment, I gave her my name and she asked if I would like a coffee and then took me right back to the hygienist, Dorrie. A doctor that you don't wait on?! Where am I? I told Dorrie about my previous experience and we discussed my history and then she got right to work, making sure I was comfortable the whole time. It seemed like I was done in no time at all and it was truly a relaxing experience.
Dr. Nazarian came in and went over my history with me, and looked over my previous treatment plan. He confirmed what I had thought, there was a lot of extras added on that I didn't need by my previous dentist. He reassured me that he would fix me up in no time at all and asked if there was anything he could do to make me feel more comfortable during my treatment. He genuinely listens and takes time with each of his patients. I have never once felt rushed or like he wasn't concerned with how I was feeling. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to finally have a dentist that doesn't order excessive painful treatments and makes you informed on all of your treatment options.
Dr. Nazarian has an amazing staff that works with you and understands how expensive dental treatment can be. They prioritize what needs to be done and I have never had to wait. My teeth are in excellent shape now and I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Nazarian and his...
