CREME DE LA CREME NAILS — Local services in New York

There are several issues with this place first and foremost the nail equipment they use is not sanitized, which has been grossing me out for a while now Another thing is if you want to cut down, I understand that there’s a fee for that, but when it comes to Simply filing your nails, they also charge for that which is very confusing because isn’t that what we’re paying for ? A service?

The nail tech Johanna also overcharged me on several occasions without informing me of the costs while she was doing my nails, which is very misleading and unprofessional.

I went today and she was upset because I had made a complaint about how she filed my nails incorrectly .. some lady f my nails were left longer than others and also there were more oval than what I asked her for .. She never checks if they measure correctly for each hand.. I have to always guide her which is upsetting and I’m sure frustrating for her because she probably feels like I am judging her work when in reality I want things done right .. it’s a service I am paying for ..

I also think it’s worth mentioning that the nail polish they have is very low-grade and chips off easily,

Today when I walked in Johanna had the audacity to tell me that next time I come that I should work with another tech Ana.

She then told me I had to pay for the color change and I told her I paid for that yesterday and now it’s chipping and I also asked her to fix a nail that was not the properly shaped and I informed her that I already told the owner about all of this and I do not think it’s fair that I pay.. TO ME it’s all the about the PRINCIPLE Of things, not even about the extra money here. Just to be clear!!

So the entire time she had a sour face on her, which made it very uncomfortable to allow her to continue doing my nails. This type of service is extremely uncalled for

I have been coming here for almost a year now because it’s convenient for me, but now I am going to find another place to go as no one deserves this type of treatment and...

My first visit here was with Rosa. She was very kind, sweet, and friendly, even tho there was a bit of a language barrier. That was no big deal to me. I was offered drinks while my nails were done, and everyone seemed very professional. I was very pleased with my nails and they came out perfectly...... my ONLY con is that they only take CASH. I hate places that don't take Cash & Card because it's such a hassle finding a working ATM in the Heights or you have to make your way to your bank somehow. Anyway, I'm going back for my 2nd visit today. I recently moved to The Heights and this will probably be my new salon! UPDATE: WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS SHOP! At my 2nd visit, I paid $55 for a basic pedicure, basic fill-in with regular polish, and repairing 2 broken nails. Wayy too much. Asians charge half that for the same results. A guy beside me paid $60 for a basic pedi/mani and clear polish. No tips, color or anything. Just a very basic mani/pedi for men. THESE PPL ARE RIP OFFS! Also, Rosa was not as friendly and kind as the 1st visit..... Will not be returning...

I have searched for a nail salon in the area close to my home for 2 plus years. You want to walk in and gain a sense of peace when you allow your grooming to be in the hands of another. I called before going to ask some questions of the salon and spoke with Angie. She was immediately pleasant and answered all of my questions without rushing me off the line. I arrived a few hours later and the salon was busy and packed but I was still acknowledged as I walked in and given instructions on receiving me service. I came at a peak period so a wait was expected. I was offered a beverage while I waited ..... when it was time for my nails to be done, Angie did them. We discussed my nail bed and the condition of my nails and how they grow. She offered her suggestions and I told her this is her level of expertise and I trust what she does. My nails were catered to me and I love them. I have found a great place to get my personal grooming of nails and toes and I am excited for many more visits ....
