There are tons of pizza shops in NYC and the majority are, well, average. Wahizza pizza in Washington Heights is not in this category. It is distinct and delicious. The pizzas have a perfect thin crust, beautiful presentation, and all fresh ingredients–not like those lifeless-looking pies hanging out for half the day in a glass case. While the entire menu looks amazing, we especially enjoyed the margarita, pepperoni, and prosciutto pizzas.The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for a casual date or family gathering, and the staff are especially friendly and welcoming. Co-owners Zule and Junior made sure we were happy with the perfect mix of chit-chat and excellent recommendations such as Prosecco with pizza! As if this were not enough, the prices are very reasonable and the location is easy to access, right near the 191st St stop on the 1 train or 190 on the A train. We can’t wait to return and try the rest...

Wahizza has a couple of locations in NJ but I decided to visit the location on broadway in NY located in the North End Food Hall. I heard the ambience was great at all hours of the day at this spot. I wasn’t disappointed to say the least! The oxtail pizza was mouth watering 🤤 and their chimi style pizza brought me back to the days where I used to go get my chimi sandwiches at the food truck in Union City in Jersey. Slammin! Pizza! Paired with friendly and fast service. And after I had a whole pie of oxtail pizza to the face I was able to get a drink at the bar that’s located inside North End Food Hall! 🥃 I ended up hanging out for a few hours chilling. I can’t say I’ve hung out at a pizza spot that long but with so much to do there time flew! ⏱️ Definitely recommend it! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wahizza, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The food was simply delicious; every bite was a testament to the chef's artistry. The pizza was scrumptious, with a perfectly crispy crust and a delightful blend of toppings that left my taste buds dancing. Additionally, the chicken pesto pasta was nothing short of amazing—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

What truly elevated our visit, however, was our server, Zulie. She was incredibly nice and professional, ensuring that we felt welcomed and attended to throughout our meal. Her attentive service and genuine care made our dining experience even more special.
