Danny Nails INC — Local services in New York

Danny did a great job with my nail art. I was very impressed! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The shop only takes cash, but there is an ATM in the shop. But as great as the nail are was, I was a little concerned on my second visit with their cleanliness. Their tools were used on customer after customer without being soaked in any cleaning solutions. Occasionally they would put their tools in a sanitizing machine, but they did not leave them in there nearly long enough for them to be properly sanitized. At one point, I noticed there was only maybe a minute between the tools being put in sanitizer after being used on one customer, and then being used on me. The tables where they did the manicures were dirty from use on previous customers. It was pretty gross. It hadn't been wiped down in a while. I came in for a regular manicure on Christmas Eve. Julie was my tech name, she was actually really sweet, which is why I am giving it 2 stars vs 1.

I got clear nail polish color; just needed my nails cleaned. I should have known; that it wasn’t going to go well when I noticed the technician (female) using the same clear nail polish for base & top coat. I even brought it up to her attention; & she stated that the only reason they would use a different base and a top is when doing a gel manicure. I know my nails wouldn’t last me.

I actually owned a base + top coat; showed have brought it with me. I guess in these salons they really use cheap products and /or don’t want to invest in good products.

In less than 24 hours; look at my nails. $22 + time wasted. Never again. I can’t even make this up if...

I’m not Nigel (his mother). This USED to be a great nail salon when it was Sexy Nails and properly run. Last week I went in and the couldn’t even do art on my toe as advertised. When I insisted they did a horrifying job. What was suppose to be a relaxing treat for me ended up a nightmare. When I paid and reluctantly tipped (I shouldn’t have) I felt like I was ripped off as the prices went up. Omg and NO service. Unfortunately my Mom has a favorite nail salonist who knows she is ill and suggested I bring her on Tuesday. I did and he’s not there and the people were ultra RUDE and mean to us. NEVER again. My money goes else where. Millie I feel sorry for you. We always treated you nice and with respect. Que Pasa? Praying...
