Average wait time = 2 hours. One time I waited 3 hours to be told to come back the next day, only to wait 3 hours the next day to be told that I actually couldn’t be seen at all for the issue I came in for. They made a mistake when they told me they could. I was referred to an unnecessary study that I refused - they billed my insurance for it anyway and assigned me an official diagnosis based on the study I’d never taken (insurance fraud). One of the doctors has hit on me multiple times. They almost never answer phones, not for an emergency, not to answer medical questions, not even to schedule appointments. Multiple times I have been placed on hold for over a half hour, then been hung up on. And today I waited 2 hours 15 minutes for a LITERALLY 1-minute basic procedure (PPD test) that was ready and waiting from the minute I walked in. It was so bad the nurse got angry and called her manager to help me complain.
This is a guinea pig clinic. The clients are all poor, and are basically guinea pigs for the trainee doctors. I’ve been on Medicaid for a while, but this is the worst service...
Read moreThis clinic is incredibly frustrating to deal with. They take months to respond to messages, and the doctors do not reply directly. The front desk only reaches out if you send multiple messages to your provider. Additionally, there is no main number to call for direct communication with the clinic. The doctors often schedule appointments without informing you, seemingly just to ensure they receive payment from your insurance. When I expressed my concerns, the doctors dismissed my medical issues.
I had a doctor tell me that it was acceptable to have a subchronic hematoma during pregnancy, yet he never addressed any of my concerns at that time. When I declined certain tests, I was rudely told that my weight was the issue, rather than considering any other factors. Be cautious if you decide to visit this clinic.
Let’s not forget I had to constantly ask for a RX to be written for several months. They’ll most likely reply to you in another year if you message...
Read moreThey have a good list of doctors (being part of Columbia and New York pres) and the staff at the front are usually courteous and knowledgeable. Be prepared to wait; depending on who your receptionist is, the line to check out is the worst ever. I usually block out three hours, but it’s still not enough time. It doesn’t matter if I’m here early or late; morning, afternoon, or evening. If I leave, they schedule and snail mail the appointments at times I had specified I could not do. I have to call back and change anyway, and the doctor gets pissed at me because it wasn’t at the timeline they wanted.
When I was pregnant, I didn’t see the same doctor once. That sucked. Sometimes, they just cancelled my appointment and didn’t tell me. But I still am grateful because at least I was close to great healthcare should an emergency arises, and they were always quick to help with refills, any insurance problems, and for the most part tried to help make the wait...
