If you're searching for a florist in the Queens or Long Island area, I couldn't offer a higher recommendation than Deep Dale Florist. While I was living in Atlanta, I took a chance on them from afar to get an arrangement made for nearby family members. Placing an order from such a distance is always a little nerve-wracking as you wonder if a store will pick fresh flowers, create a nice combination of flowers, and make a seamless handoff to the recipient.

I'm happy to report that Deep Dale made it truly trouble-free. On the phone, the owner asked me some questions about budget, colors, and whether I wanted an arrangement or bouquet (an arrangement comes with a vase while a bouquet comes wrapped). There was a quick exchange over text to verify a few details, and then a picture of the finished arrangement within a few hours. And ya'll? I know nothing about flowers, but I know enough to notice when real care and expertise has been put into a bouquet. Instead of stuffing cheap fillers and greens, there were garden roses (my new favorite!), orchids, and peonies, all of which created a truly luxurious looking bunch that had my mother-in-law swooning. Better yet, she report that they were still going fresh and strong in the vase a week later.

Having worked with flowers when I was younger, I've always liked picking out my own and making my own arrangements for gifts. Since I've moved out of the area, I had to settle for ordering flowers for my mom from an website. After being disappointed again and again with bouquets that were either much smaller than pictured or with cheap flowers due to "local availability", I needed to find a better option where I can be assured my mom would receive the bouquet I paid for.

I called a couple of florists near my mom and decided to order from Deep Dale because he was just so nice and informative over the phone, even through the busy Thanksgiving holiday. Even though I had seen the pictures the owner had posted online, he sent me new pictures of custom bouquets he had worked on that day so I can see exactly what type of flowers/arrangements were available FRESH. I picked one that I liked and he made a beautiful new arrangement in that style to be sent for my mom's birthday. The care in color and design turned out just perfect, I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. He texted me the receipts and a final check photo of the arrangement before it left for delivery. Our aunt is in a rehabilitation centre and feeling isolated during covid. She is 98 years old and is one of those people who has ALWAYS gone out of her way to go the extra mile to let her loved ones know she cares. She remembers every birthday and anniversary and always sends a card. She is a very special person. We are all wishing we could be with her and have been calling constantly. We wanted to send flowers that would help brighten her day. Deep Dale Florist is close to the facility, so we called to look into creating a special arrangement. The concern, care and extra effort that was put into this arrangement was nothing short of legendary. When a family is suffering, the human connection during moments like this makes all the difference. The arrangement itself is positively spectacular--we were blown away by the creativity, skill and artistic flare that went into this masterpiece. It is quite honestly one of the most beautiful flower arrangements we have ever seen. The kindness shared with us during the phone call was supportive in a very meaningful way.
