Eneslow Shoes & Orthotics — Local services in New York

Very good experience yesterday at Eneslow. I have wide feet, high arches, and use an orthotic. Not a simple sale, but I found three pairs of shoes (I am from out of town and cannot find shoes locally). Haji (spelling?) spent an hour and a half with me, took the time to measure my feet and bring out lots of options, all good. The first pair of sneakers he brought out turned out to be a perfect fit with the orthotic, right on the money (Brooks - wide toebox, narrow heel, extra depth). I came in a pair of boot/dress shoes that I have worn to death - they had the same boots (Drew workboots), but unlike the place I had bought them from previously, had all the sizes in stock, I was able to try them on and go a half-size smaller and wider for an even better fit this time around. They had lots of "almost" options in dress shoes that didn't quite work with the orthotics. I ended up splurging on a pair of Aldens without orthotics as I don't wear those all day long, and have a pair of Alden's that has lasted me 15+ years (purchased at Eneslow way back when). Not cheap at $150/$275/$500 for the shoes but I am set now for several years. I heard similar attention being paid to others around me. Horrible - Stay Away - Especially from Ralph Kramdenish salesperson Tony who thought it was ok to publicly scream at me because I didn't remember his name - and then laugh about it in front of the entire store. Young salesgirl recommended $200+ sneaker that couldn't work for my needs. They tried to adjust sneaker w/ a wait period of 2 or 3 weeks for each fix... Wouldn't refund $ - had to then buy and pay for what I originally wanted, but was told they didn't make in my size - Finally offered to let me use credit for a pair of Kizik sneakers - waited another 4 + weeks and still no sneakers - blamed company for shipping problems - Finally received full $200+ refund about 3 months since this mess began. There is no sense of urgency for the customer, just wait, wait, wait the entire summer. P.S. Incredible! We have all been to shoe stores and left disappointed with the lack of sales experience and shoe selection to fit our needs. Most of the time we end up settling on an uncomfortable shoe just because we are so drained from searching from high end to low end to online resources. I am writing this review to let you know Enslow shoes is the benchmark for customer service, selection, and total custom fit for every foot condition imaginable. When you go ask for Lee, he is unsurpassed in knowledge, a true professional that cares about your overall needs.
