Exceptional Service at Diptyque Madison Avenue

On my most recent visit to New York City with friends, I had the pleasure of stopping into the Diptyque location on Madison Avenue. As I walked by the store, the beautiful presentation caught my eye and pulled me in to learn more about the brand.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by several associates who were both engaging and friendly. While browsing, one associate noticed I was unfamiliar with Diptyque and graciously offered to show me around. He gave me a thoughtful tour of the store, walking me through the brand’s history and the wide range of products available.

In today’s world, consumers have countless options — both in stores and online — but this associate’s level of care truly stood out. He asked questions about the types of scents I enjoy and patiently helped me sample several fragrances to narrow down my favorites.

There’s a side room in the store where I was invited to sit and relax for a bit, and the associate even offered me water — a small gesture that made a big impression. His attentiveness and genuine approach to customer service were impeccable.

In the end, I purchased two fragrances: OLENE and SENS EAU DES both in the 100ml size. This experience not only introduced me to Diptyque’s beautiful products but also left a lasting impression thanks to the exceptional service I received. I was having a little girl’s day and decided to stop into this brand for the first time since I’ve always heard so much about it. The store itself is beautiful, but at first I didn’t receive service right away which I assumed might just be their way of working. Then Michelle came up to me, asked if anyone was helping me, and when I said no, she was genuinely surprised and immediately made sure I was taken care of. From that moment on, she was incredible. She was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, and she packaged everything so beautifully (I even left with a tote bag). She explained things with so much patience from showing me the right way to smell a candle ( ifyky ) to walking me through perfume notes in detail. She answered every question thoughtfully, offered me water, and really made me feel comfortable. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for Michelle, I probably would have walked out without buying anything. But because of her, I ended up purchasing, and I’ll definitely be working with her as my SA in the future. I had the most wonderful experience at Diptyque thanks to Dustin, who truly went above and beyond. From the moment we walked in, he greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. He patiently answered all of our questions, and we had many, with genuine enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the products.

Dustin did not just help us find a gift. He guided us with such care, sharing the story and inspiration behind each scent and item in a way that made the experience feel meaningful and personal. His passion for the brand was contagious and it made our visit unforgettable.

On top of that, he wrapped everything beautifully with attention to detail and even embossed the bag, which added a luxurious and thoughtful touch. Dustin was so lovely throughout the entire interaction, friendly, professional and sincerely invested in helping us.
