This is a really bad salon at least for hair perm!!! I had a very bad experience with Dlala . I went for a curly perm on 11th Nov night. And then when I got up next day in the morning, my hair is not curly as intended. Most part of my hair is straight and there is only a little wave at the end of hair. This was such a disappointment! The perm didn’t last over one night! And everyone in the office can’t tell I had a curly perm last night. With such a high price (190 excluding tax and tips) I get nothing. I was so upset and call the Dlala. They told me they offer a second perm in one week. And I said, it would hurt my hair so much with two perm in week. The girl on the phone said, “It’s ok if your hair is strong enough.” The only thing I feel is they don’t care your hair that much. Of course I won’t do that to my hair since that hurt my hair and may still end up with straight hair. I asked a refund but they said no. I go back to the salon. And the manager saw my straight hair. But both the manager and the stylist (shohei) don’t want to admit it’s a bad perm. Especially, shohei said it’s a good perm… And later, he said he offer me a fix. I just don’t understand why he thinks getting straight hair is a good curly perm and if he really thinks that was a good perm why he offer a fix? Anyway, the end of the story is, I paid for nothing. Oh, not exactly, I got something that is my hair is in poor...
Read moreI never write reviews (or I typically do when it’s an amazing experience), but this was the worst customer experience I’ve ever had in my life. The stylist was Mami (goes by Lauren I think), she was extremely rude to a point that I felt assaulted by her. She asked what kind of haircut I wanted and when I explained what I needed (literally was a simple trim to get dry ends off), she was extremely impatient. She complained that I can’t keep my head straight in the chair and how has any stylist ever worked with me, to a point where she aggressively adjusted my head - gave me half a hair cut and stopped midway saying I’ll have to stop. At this point I’m sitting in the chair with one side cut and told her the other side is much longer - she complained it’s because I can’t keep my head straight. She vigorously kept shaking my head. Absolutely ridiculous, extremely disrespectful, and extremely overpriced for the worst service of my life. After this she had the audacity to ask for a generous tip through venmo. Never going again and I wouldn’t have written this review given how hard businesses are trying during Covid, but it’s important to report how I felt assaulted...
Read moreThe worst experience of my entire life and I am not exaggerating. My stylist’s name was “Mami” and I have never worked with anyone as entitled and rude as her. I came here to get a natural balayage. This girl not only ruined my hair by over-toning it, but she was also extremely impatient and horrible with communication. My appointment was supposedly be 6 hours long, but they made a mistake in their system so she was trying to hurry up and get everything done under 5 hours. As a customer, I needed to know what kind of product she was using in my hair because I have very sensitive skin. I asked a few simple questions about the products and the process to educate myself and she had the audacity to raise her voice on me and yelled, “You don’t need to know everything!” (Uh, yes I do???) I used to go to Kiwa Salon and Hair Repair Bar by Giojé (HIGHLY recommended both of these guys! They always make sure you walk out their door looking beautiful and they are the nicest people with work with unlike Mami.) I only wanted to give Dlala a shot because the reviews seemed decent – BIG mistake!! Mami, if you are reading this, please go see a therapist. Your attitude is...
