My friend raves about this place so she brought me here for the first time from long island. The shop itself is really cute with a cool selection, however it was made very clear the staff wanting nothing but for us to leave. At first everything was fine, an employee made a remark about people buying out their stock and reselling it for profit and how if we see something in our size to get it while we can, then proceeded to bring out a box from the back, looked us in the eye, and literally threw it at our feet. My friend and i thought she put it there for us to look but before we could even bend down they said âplease dont thats the worst thing you could do, iâm just waiting for you guys to leave so i can put new stuff out.â Now if they were about to close i totally understand, but we got there 2 hours after they opened and were the only customers in the store. We both felt very unwelcome and decided to leave without buying anything. It seemed like the employees thought we were resellers but all we wanted was cute outfits...
Read moreI had gone to one other alternative store in NYC, and that one honestly felt like a joke. Costume quality items for hefty prices. This place, however, is the real deal. They carry Tripp pants and Demonia shoes, which were the main things I was after when I went to the city. Though the prices are quite larger than on online stores or in mall chains like Hot Topic (shudder), you'll find a lot of cool items that you wouldn't be able to really try on and look at in any other store. (Such as the Tripp bondage pants, which I haven't been able to find in any other actual physical store.) On top of that, the staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone is super helpful and really shares the passion of wearing cool and wacky clothes. In the words of one of the employees, who was working in the lower portion of the store when I went, "This place brings people together," and that it most certainly does. I met lots of cool people here in just one trip. I'll definitely be stopping by again next time I'm...
Read moreI took my 18 year old son and his friend into NY (from South Jersey) just to go to this store. I was a little nervous taking the subway so I called the store and asked for directions. The woman who answered the phone was so nice and gave me everything I needed to know to get there easily. Once we arrived I had mentioned that I had called, she knew who I was and that we were ready to go shopping! She and another young lady were so helpful in finding the right sizes for my son and pieces that they thought he would like based on his description. Some might say that it can be a little pricey but if they were to look around for similar items elsewhere I don't think you would see much of a price difference. If you are searching for quality clothing with great (store) customer service then you should check them out. We had a great experience and would like to do a "shout out" to those two people. Thank...
