I rarely leave reviews, but this one I have to. Dr. Mayyaās clinic failed to diagnose an ectopic pregnancy, which ruptured and could have killed me. After emergency operation at another hospital by another doctor, she had her assistant called to ask suggestive questions to put the blame on me, like why you didnāt come back for follow up appointment? Come on! I was there two weeks ago when I was tested positive for pregnancy. She didnāt even SEE me! It was her PA or someone else, who told me to come back in two weeks. I made the appointment on the spot for two weeks later! No one ever contacted me after and I collapsed on the day of that appointment. Her girl also asked me why I rescheduled. Hello! I was in the emergency room and I called your office right away on that day! I never rescheduled anything. She asked nothing about my health, nothing about if I still feel any pain, no advise on what I can do to recover better. It sounds to me that they only care about their assets. I was her patient and I could have DIED! Be aware! Use your own judgment! She kept saying that I should call her if I felt pain anytime. I did try, but her office answer machine said it is outside of office hours, so I couldnāt reach anyone. Maybe she is good when you are lucky to have a smooth and heathy pregnancy, but when things arenāt smooth, and when you needed her the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a really bad experience at this office. The wait time is terrible. Expect to wait at least a half hour minimum after your appointment time before being seen.
I was pregnant with a fetus that was not going to make it. My body kept sending me signals from the moment I got pregnant and the MAs, nurses, and doctor kept making me come back every two days for blood work that kept proving something was very wrong with the health of my fetus. I requested termination from the very beginning but this office kept milking me for my money and never helped me. You cannot imagine the stress this put me through to not only know I was carrying a baby that would clearly not make it, but my body was getting sick with the more time that passed. About 6 blood tests later, my body finally miscarried.
This office nickels and dimes for every little thing. I never peed in a cup. I never had a sonogram until after the miscarriage and I was charged a separate office visit for this sonogram even though it's inside the office. I also had to come in to the office for an appointment that lasted 5 min after waiting forever just for the doctor to tell me information I already knew and yes I had to pay for that as well.
I would not recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience with this practice was very frustrating. I went requesting an IUD insertion and was told I needed a clean pap first and to schedule on my period. Ok. So that process took a month. The office calls and confirms my appointment the day before. I was incredibly nervous, and took the day off work for my scheduled appointment so I could take a prescribed (from my personal psychiatrist, this practice refuses to give them) anti anxiety pill before the procedure. So consider my shock when I'm brought into an exam room at the time of my appointment and told the doctor doesn't actually give IUDs to women without children. The PA who is willing to do the procedure (who conducted my pap and is wonderful) isn't scheduled to work that day. Between the day off, the Uber to and from, and the now second iteration of all the prep, I spent a great deal of time and money here to ultimately not get my IUD.
There were multiple steps in this process where the refusal to perform the procedure could have been communicated and were not. Very frustrating, and I cannot recommend...
