My experience with Dr. Sultan and his team at Mt. Sinai has been nothing short of exceptional. Following a breast cancer diagnosis, I was referred to Dr. Sultan by two of New York’s top-ranked doctors. Each emphasized his impressive credentials, compassionate patient care, and consistently remarkable outcomes. Their recommendations spoke volumes, but it was only once I experienced his care firsthand that I truly appreciated how dedicated he is not just to healing the body, but to communicating clearly, confidently, and with genuine empathy so you can relax mentally.

Dr. Sultan’s support began at my very first consultation, and he continued to check in as I moved through the process toward surgery. And, his support didn’t end in the operating room, the follow-up was just as thoughtful as the surgical expertise. I was also pleasantly surprised that he made all those calls himself. I told friends and family that it was the most attentive, individualized care I’ve ever received from any doctor, in any specialty, in my lifetime.

There are not enough stars for Dr. Steven Sultan and his incredible team! To say he goes above and beyond would be an understatement. Getting my breast cancer diagnosis was shocking but when I had to choose the right team for my double mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstruction, I immediately knew I was in the absolute best hands. Dr. Sultan is incredibly gifted—his skill (I look like me again), compassion, and dedication made this journey not just manageable but empowering.

He has given me back so much of what I felt I had lost. Throughout this entire process, he has always been available to answer my questions and concerns, carefully explaining all my options and guiding me to the best decisions for my care.

When I faced an issue with my insurance, Dr. Sultan and his team fought alongside me, keeping me informed every step of the way. Their support has meant everything.

On Jan 22 , 2024, I got the worst news I thought I could ever get. I was told that I had breast cancer and needed an immediate mastectomy. This runs in my family, but quite honestly, I thought this could never happen to me...I'm living a healthy life, exercising consistently, and trying to take care of myself as best as I possibly can. While I was mortified of this news, my oncologist ensured me that I was in good hands and stated that I was a good candidate for biletaral mastectomy with reconstructive flap surgery. She recommended one of the best plastic surgeons in NYC , Dr Steven Sultan. Oh boy, she wasn't wrong! He was absolutely incredible from the very first visit, throughout the process, and during my recovery. Dr Sultan is a true master of his trait. Not only did he show outmost professionalism, but most importantly, humility, empathy, and understanding... I am just wowed by the impact he had on me, my family, and my life. I am writing this review because I know firsthand how devastating and stressful this could be, but one thing for certain - what you'd want - is the best care you can get. Dr Steven Sultan is that perfect person - an incredible surgeon. I would choose him 100 times over.
