I love this cafe. I go there frequently in the late afternoon to eat something and studying and meet some of my Spanish students. Today I had the worse experience I wanted to sit in the café as usual and I greeted the person at the counter and I asked him if it was ok to sit on the back since I arrived a little early before lunch. He did not even greet me and he said you can sit if you are going to have lunch. I said of course I am going to eat something. He said you are confusing me and what I want is to make money. He did not even care I was a regular and that I spend my money in his cafe almost every week. I said to him that he should be nicer with costumers. I said that I was coming every week and he said that he did not know me. The point is that how come you treat costumers that way. I guess the idea is to give the costumer the love and the consideration they deserve so they return and spend their money there because they feel accepted...
Read moreToday (Sunday, 5/16), I went to Da Capo around 3:30pm to get a latte for myself and some snacks for my child. Since no one was at the counter, I waited for a minute before a barista finally showed up. I knew that Da Capo offered a nice affogato, so I asked if they had vanilla ice cream after ordering an iced latte.
The barista seemed annoyed and complained that he had been asked the same question by many customers before. He even went as far as to say that his shop was not a supermarket and that I should get the ice cream at the grocery store across the street (which I already knew). I tried to explain that I knew about their affogato and simply wanted to check if they could provide the ice cream separately, but he continued to be rude and dismissive.
I was quite upset by his attitude, especially since I had been a long-term customer of Da Capo and had never been treated like this before. I am now unsure if I will visit Da Capo again...
Read moreSo we went in for breakfast this morning, 18th sept 2020 around 10 am. We asked few questions if croissants To their server/owner/employee whoever he is if they are fresh, he answered something which we couldn’t hear due to loud music, we asked him twice, he answered you should never ask this question we always have hinges fresh. Well a new person might not know about it. The server was so rude, we took a minute to explore what we want to buy, he said he doesn’t have time for us he is really busy. Thanks you just messed our otherwise perfectly going Friday Morning. I was new out there, I was impressed with the cute little place they put up, I even took a video of the place as I liked it, but we just left from there frustrated at the rudeness. Never expected such behavior and ignorance for asking or taking time to buy things. Especially when there was no one waiting...
