Me and my co workers go here for happy hour. We always come with a big group and everytime we come here, it’s always that lousy treatment we get. We will all order, then after we get our food, since we’re a big party, all eyes are on us. You can’t even enjoy eating and talking because they will get your empty plates soon, lurk around to see if we’re done and ready to leave. The atmosphere and ambiance is actually good but because of the terrible treatment we get from the staff here, doesn’t matter how gorgeous the place is, it’s just not inviting.
They changed the happy hour too. No more unlimited drinks which is okay in Manhattan but the food was lesser too. No more 3 tacos, etc. A lot has changed.
Would I go back here, if I don’t have any other choice because this is the closest at work but if I can avoid the stares and rushes of the people who works here, it’s worth going some place else.
They will make you feel that you’re not even welcome. Maybe if there’s like 2-4 people then they will treat you with care. Don’t come here if you have a party or 6 or more or else you’ll feel belittled by the workers here.
P.s. we asked a server for a picture, he rudely looked at me that even the other table saw it and the lady from the other table even said that’s not nice and it’s not gonna take a long time so she stood up to take a picture of us instead.
Horrible experience every time. Why come back? It’s the closest. Did we learned our lesson? Yes. Rather travel somewhere and have a human interaction that with...
Read moreI recently dined at Conmigo, and what started as a promising evening quickly descended into a culinary disaster.Cocktails and Appetizers: A Glimmer of Hope The evening began on a high note with their amazing cocktails and delightful appetizers. The prefix menu was a beacon of hope, tantalizing our taste buds and setting high expectations for the main course. The Downfall: Main Course Catastrophe However, the main courses were nothing short of horrific. We ordered the steak, which arrived beyond dried—an unappetizing slab of overcooked meat that was nearly inedible. The salmon, which we sent back, was flavorless, over cooked and bland. To add insult to injury, the yuca which came with replacement chicken dish was still frozen when served. It’s astonishing how a restaurant can mess up such simple dishes. The Icing on the Cake: Dessert Disaster As if the main course wasn’t enough of a letdown, dessert was the cherry on top of this unfortunate sundae. The tres leches cake, which should have been a sweet finish, was instead a bland, frozen monstrosity, topped with freezer-burned frosting. Conclusion Conmigo had the potential to be a great dining experience, but it fell flat in the most spectacular way. While I left feeling full from the appetizers, the disappointment of the main course and dessert overshadowed the evening. I doubt I will return. Save your time and money—there are far better...
Read moreIf I could give this place no star, I would because the service was horrible and the food mediocre. The restaurant was barely busy when I got in but they never checked on my table, after taking my order. I was there waiting or trying to get their attention for the longest to get a to go box. Since they couldn’t attend to me and I couldn’t wait any longer, I went to the bathroom. When I came back, they threw away my food. I asked the server where my food was, since I wasn’t done and I wanted to take the rest of the food to go. To rectify the situation, he told me they would make me a new plate. Instead, I told him that they only needed to make half of it, because this was about the amount of food that I left on my plate. When I got home, I realized, instead of giving me back the food that I ordered, they filled the to go box with romaine lettuce and tomatoes with about a couple of thinly slices of beef. The meal that I ordered was the steak and tostones with an avocado salad that cost $41. Since they tried to rectify, the mistake, I tipped them but I wish I didn’t because filling the Togo box with anything they can throw in there was dirt cheap. If I didn’t live more than an hour away, I would have brought...
