1 Up Bistro Gourmet — Restaurant in New York

Wish I could give zero stars. First off, this is the 4th time I patronized this business, yet this is the first time they got my order so so wrong. Yesterday I sent someone to get me a vegan chopped cheese from this place, (mind you I ordered this SAME sandwich a day ago, with no issues). I’ve eaten ground beef/ turkey before so I know the difference in smell/ taste. I also can tell the difference between regular dairy cheese and vegan cheese. When I got to the park to eat said sandwich, I did what I always do which is take a whiff to make sure it is indeed vegan (aka what I wanted/ paid for). To my disappointment, it was not a vegan chopped cheese. I was so annoyed and frustrated because if you’re going to advertise that you serve/ sell these products, why not ensure that the people making these items triple check that they are being served. This is playing with peoples money at this point because by the time I even opened and tasted the sandwich, it was far too late for me to even go back to the store to have this corrected. I even had someone at home eat the other half, and they confirmed that it was definitely a regular chopped cheese, and not a vegan one. I still have my receipt, BUT it does not state what it is that I bought, it just says “special sandwich”.

So if you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, etc please beware that they may mess...

UPDATE: There has been some changes to the staff from my previous visit, and after speaking to the store owner it's to my understanding that things will be ran a lot smoother. After my first visit back I can say they're working to fix the store with every review they receive, I will return for another visit in a few weeks and update accordingly.

Horrible staff avoid at all cost. They’re rude and their price magically rise what seems like every month (even without updating the price on the menu screen). Then they add insult to injury by telling you it’s the same price roll or hero. It’s honestly not even worth it in the end because the food doesn’t even...

the staff give u a nasty attitude. the cook take his sweet time making your food even if you order on the phone at head of time he still going take his time. And if cook don't like you and he know is your food expected your food last thing he make. They extremely unprofessional and they over prices there item and most of there food are expired or have funges growthing on the food. is extremely nasty and very unsanitary and i will stop recommending that place to everyone who visit the hospital. everyone...
