Very unprofessional crew, not a serious company. At first they created a post on StreetEasy with one price, which was $1900 for a unit in Manhattan, once I responded they gave me a call and asked when am I ready to come and see and then said price is actually $400 more, on my question why information online is incorrect, they answered it’s just utilities which is included and they usually talk about it on actually meeting. I said $2300 doesn’t work for me, after like half hour they called me again, and said landlord is ready to make $2000 final price. So we agreed to meet next morning, which is actually today, at 10:30 am, I said I can come even earlier because I want to be the first to see it, lady answered all other appointments are after me. I currently live in Astoria, so I came here and was already walking out of the train station when received the call at 10:05 am that someone put application down and apartment is not available. 25 min prior our meeting. Obviously they knew about it yesterday and hold me as a second option. Very disappointed! Don’t make a deal with this company,...

While the unit I stayed in was fine, dealing with Empire State Properties overall was not a positive experience. There are plenty of better places in Manhattan that are actually cheaper and better.
I only stayed at ESP for 30 days yet am still waiting for them to return my $4000 deposit back... and its been 2 months since I've left. I was in short term corporate housing - The unit was to be furnished and have basic supplies -- I walked in and there was not even toilet paper included or dish soap, etc included. The air-conditioning unit gave off a strong smell and gave me constant headaches. The laundry room requires a re-loadable card, but the card machine was down so I was unable to do laundry for 3 days while they waited to refill the machine for new cards. They bundle in the price of housekeeping which isn't necessary and its overpriced for what you could get getting your own housekeeper. The gym amenity is useless. The cardio machines...

Unresponsive management and landlord. Manager of building does not take ownership, only blames others and does not fix situations - blamed cleaning company for not cleaning my apartment before move in. I walked into chaos when I picked up my keys - the handle on the fridge was falling off, kitchen covered in grease, broken lights, dirt and filth everywhere, and more. The property manager didn't apologize and did not take ownership - it is her job to manage the units yet she had not even seen it before I went in for the first time. It's been 2 months and there is a lot that still needs fixing that they refuse to do or ignore me about.
Currently, 15 people are stuck in an elevator and all elevators are shut down. The elevators always break here, only one is dependable...to be down. Rarely works. They are too cheap to repair.
Half the staff is good, the other half sits around doing nothing. They could do without so many people downstairs. They seem...
