After years of struggling with my physical fitness, motivation, self acountability and feeling somewhat insecure about my body, personal trainer Antonio Vidal has helped me achieve the best shape of my life just in time for my Europe vacation in August.
Initially, since I am still somewhat young, I was apprehensive about whether hiring a personal trainer would be the best idea, but Antonio's unwavering support, guidance, and infectious enthusiasm quickly erased all my doubts. Antonio is so much more than a regular personal trainer. His extensive knowledge, carefully curated workout plans and genuine care for me consistently exceeded my expectations. When I first started working with Antonio, I was merely hoping to lose some bodyfat and build some muscle. However, his unmatched coaching skills not only helped me surpass my initial goals but also led me to rediscover the joy and thrill of engaging in that sport. Thanks to Antonio, I now have a re-found passion for the sport that has significantly improved the quality of my life. Furthermore, the passion, motivation, and determination that Antonio has instilled in me continue to grow and fuel my love and dedication to fitness, even when I'm not training with him. The results I've experienced under Antonio's guidance are not just temporary changes but a permanent shift in my mindset and determination to maintain and continue my fitness journey.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a personal trainer who will transform not only your body but your whole outlook on health and fitness, look no further than the remarkable Antonio Vidal. He is truly a one-of-a-kind professional who can guide you to unleashing your true potential and rediscovering your love for sports while achieving the best shape of your life. I am forever grateful for the lasting impact he has made on my journey to better health and overall wellness.
Thank you Antonio...
Read moreI was an Equinox member for over five years. I've used ~20 different clubs all over the city at different points. I'm leaving my review at the Bryant Park location because it's the one I used the most in the recent past, but this review applies to Equinox overall.
First, specifics about the club:
It's in the basement, so if you want views / natural light while you're working out, this isn't the club for you
The facilities are nice and modern compared to many Equinox branches, though not as fresh as some of the newest locations (Dumbo). Still, it was always one of my favorite clubs to work out in.
It is a nightmare at peak hours, at least in the ladies locker rooms -- think long lines for showers and hair dryers. After 9am, or if you can sneak your lunch workout in a little early (or late, just avoiding the showers right around 1pm) you're better off.
The reason for my low star review is how disappointed I am in Equinox's cancellation policy. As someone who was a member for over five years, I should easily be able to cancel my membership; I've given this place enough money. Instead, when I went to cancel I was told cancellations don't become effective for 45 days, information that is not available on their website or in their FAQs. (I also then found out I could have cancelled in the app / over the phone, even though everything on the website says you have to cancel in person.) I have moved out of the city and have not used the gym since moving because I can't fit it in around my commute. All Equinox is doing is nickel and diming me at the tail end of my membership, which feels like a terrible way to treat a loyal customer. I have a sour taste in my mouth over what should have been an overall...
Read moreNot my normal equinox and my bf zachary justus just had a dreadful experience here with the management. He was doing a superset of push ups and bar pull downs - was doing his push ups when someone tapped me on the shoulder to ask if they could work in - He said yes but asked if they would mind not tapping me mid push up and woah they did not like that. She actually said 'you've told that to the wrong person I'm a manger here. You can leave!' Clearly taken aback by this vitriolic over reaction told her he wasn't and want to talk to the GM. This other manager said fine but she was coming in the room with. Walked him like a bad boy up to the principals office and would not leave until asked to do so by her supervisor. After describing the scenario the GM said that He was wrong - Bryant park is a particularly busy gym and people had to act as community members here. I grew up with siblings and I know how to share. I also know you don't touch someone without their express consent even if you're in a hurry to use a pull down bar. I also don't understand why if the gym is that frantically busy there is not a policy asking staff to not work out during peak hours. Or hey why doesn't staff be nice and amenable to customers paying quite high membership fees. Or hey why not use some delicate customer service techniques when interacting with your membership base instead of acting...
