St. Cloud Rooftop — Restaurant in New York

Well, the view is great indeed. But so is any other view from any Manhattan rooftop, that's a very definition of a rooftop. Also, honestly, The Knickerbocker's modest height of 17 floors (with St. Cloud located on the 17th) doesn't offer the breathtaking vistas as other NYC's rooftop bars do. But let's give the place a credit for its location, for that's the only decent thing about it. The hosting - terrible, we were asked to cramp ourselves into a small table, rubbing elbows with another couple, even though the entire area was almost void of any customers (3:30 PM on a Saturday is not exactly your peak hours). The senseless excuse provided was a hypothetical need for a hypothetical family or a bigger group that would need our corner table. Needless to say no family neither bigger group materialized all the time we stayed at the St. Cloud. Service - indifferent, impersonal, our waiter with a mournful face never inquired how our food and drinks were. Food presentation - arguably the worst ever. Worst charcuterie board, with blocks of generic cheese served uncut, unsliced. The kitchen prep person decided not to bother, probably thinking that a Times Square crowd are not your most discerning diners. Food itself - very poor preparation; the Anato Head-On Shrimp on Skewer ($27) was worse than average. Drinks - the establishment should be ashamed of itself serving the sloppily prepared concoctions priced over $24. Overall the place is obscenely overpriced and overpriced without any justification. The Aviary NYC sells its Bloody Mary for $38 but it is a top tier libation and culinary creation combined. The stuff you get at St. Cloud, well, TGIF's drinks will be less...

Our recent corporate event at the St. Cloud Rooftop was an absolute delight from start to finish! The breathtaking views, impeccable service, and attention to detail left a lasting impression on all our guests.

Our event was more reception-style so we had a few small passed bites, and let me tell you, they were outstanding! such small bites jam-packed with so much flavor each unique catering to every palate. i especially appreciated the vegetarian and vegan selections offered to accommodate our guests.

The rooftop's ambiance, coupled with the attentive and friendly staff, created an inviting and warm atmosphere. The team's willingness to accommodate our requests and their genuine hospitality made our guests feel welcomed and valued.

Our rooftop corporate event was a success, and we owe it all to the team at St. Cloud. We highly recommend St. Cloud to anyone looking to host a memorable event with a touch of sophistication and charm.

Got seated outside, as per request, after a pleasant and friendly elevator ride with the operator. The waitstaff then took 10-15 min to find us. After opening my card first, we ordered 2 drinks which also took a while to come, so we’re like 20-25 minutes in before we had our first drink. The waitress then told us she was going on break but another would be looking after us. The other never showed for a good 1/2 hr, 45 min. Just as i was about to go close my tab at the bar myself, a waitress appeared. By that time we had enough of being ignored, so I told her i wanted my check. She disappeared! About another 20 minutes in, I got up and closed my tab out with the bartender myself. On the way out we saw the 2nd waitress , at the inside bar, just getting our bill for us.
