As a Verizon customer for many years, it is shocking how poor customer service is at various stores. I visited the Bryant Park location and asked for some help switching out my SIM card and received a lazy response. The representative handed me his keychain where he had the tool to pull out the card. The store was not busy at all. This employee was apparently not wanting to assist. I pulled out the SIM card myself and made the change. I then asked him if I could charge my phone for a moment. He said he had a droid and could not assist. Please tell me why you came to work today, because it was not a desire to help customers paying your salary and many benefits. I have canceled my service and switching to Spectrum. Would not recommend this location at all.

Some people here at Verizon are very fishy. They don’t tell you what kind of contract you will have. They don’t work you through the details of terms. They just throw some numbers at you and try to obtain the personal contact of your female colleagues. This company needs an overhaul. For a simple bill, their finance department can be so creative that they can generate a stack of notebook for you to read through and then when you try to clarify with them, they always put on a smiling face, but yet on the back are inconsistent with what they agreed with you. If Verizon is serious about customer complaint, it could simply drop a contact email to get the issues resolved in a timely fashion. Doing lip service isn’t get you anywhere…

Walked into the Verizon store on West 42 Street in Manhattan. The woman shown in the photo called Michelle began verbally abusing me as soon as I walked in. I don’t know the reason but she continued to walk around me in circles calling me names. I asked for a supervisor while she continued to be abusive.

i have been with Verizon for awhile now and in the past several months I transferred my cellphone to T-Mobile and left a Verizon tablet on Verizon ...what I didn't know is that accounts with tablets are different then accounts with phones you can't access your online account because it creates a whole new account and you can not be an account owner for that line because they don't offer that to tablets which means you can view stuff some things but you can't make changes to the account. I tried for several months to get access to my new online account they reset it everything but I can't get text messages to a tablet so they had to mail passcode and by the time I got it I couldn't enter it because it had been too long even though I just received it because they only allow like three days to enter the code and so I would get it resent and I did this for months I still do not have an online acct but I called an paid my bill every month and when I got emails saying your almost out of data I would call and upgrade and backdate my data then I switched to the safety overdrive which I don't know why I was never told about this plan but whatever this month I switched to it and paid off my cellphone I had ported over to T-Mobile so my balance was zero last night. this morning I call and discover over night I have a 1000$ bill! from what when where how?!!! I get told it's a mistake and the supervisor will call me back to remove it at 1pm well at 230 I get anxious and call back where I get another lady who tells me it's data overage charges !!!!! From when?!!! I pay my bill every month I call like every week so how do I accumulate that much overag when is it fro,m? First she says it's from this month well how can that be I have safety over drive then she tells me it's an accumulation for several months bills. Wait bills i already paid?! Yes she says how is that possible Or legal ?! It's legal it says that in our clause we can add the charges when ever we want. So for Christmas they added all these charges never told me about them even when I upgraded and backdated my bills so I wouldn't have charges I still get charged an I have now been on the phone all day with Verizon about this beware do not sign on Verizon!!!!!!!!!! They take advantage of people and only want to steal your money and manipulate your bill to where even they don't understand it. Con...

Worker “Sammy” there, who greets people when you enter the store turned out an incompetent & unprofessional worker, impatient and with attitude . Very unpleasant experience, and is not the 1st time he gives me attitude.

There was another girl there who refused to give me her name and refused to help me because of her own will.

Details for those who it concerns:

I had a very simple request to refill my data and I was sent by Sammy to the machine to refill it - but the machine doesn’t refill data, only the monthly balance. So I come again to Sammy ask for help - and he says “just press “the refill” - but again I try and of course it doesn’t work since it ONLY works for monthly balance refill - NOT data, so I ask for 3rd time him for help and he goes all impatient and pissed off as if I ask him something very hard. I tell him to be patient and he tells me that he’s not gonna help me if I talk to him like that, and goes back to another customer.

Is that the kind of a treatment a 4 year Verizon customer should get?? And then the girl who works told that she’s also not gonna help me because she’s gonna be an asshole to me as she assumed I was an asshole to this Sammy! "you need help from us? well we are not gonna help if you're not gonna be nice" what she says. And here I am just trying to refill freaking data which I cannot do on my phone because Verizon app is broken to even begin with.

I later go to take a picture of Sammy’s name and he slams my phone saying I cannot do that ???

I can’t believe the workers can be taking such independence and basically spitting in customers face. Very unpleasant experience, I would advise to replace or downgrade the employees. Verizon -don’t make your reputation go down because of low class people like that...

Walked in with a Galaxy Nexus stuck in a boot loop. There was no line, so I was able to speak to a technician within 30 seconds of walking in. I explained the problem and walked her through the steps I had taken to try to fix it. She agreed the phone was broken and began ordering a replacement.

First, she told me the phone would ship the next day, but wouldn't arrive for 3-5 days. If I wanted next-day or two-day shipping, that would cost extra. She then asked if I had a spare phone I could use in the meantime. I told her I had no other phone to use in the interim. No response from her--she wanted me to be the one to admit that I was out of luck. According to her, they have no replacement/loaner phones in the store, so she couldn't give me anything to hold me over for a few days. A cell phone company without cell phones? Major fail.

I finally pushed and asked if she could waive the ridiculous fee for next-day shipping, and she said she'd need to ask the manager. A few minutes later the manager, who never once made eye contact with me or spoke a word to me, came over and punched in the necessary codes to get the fee waived.

This was a chance for Verizon's customer service to shine, but didn't. I had to fight down the extra charges, was never acknowledged by the manager, and couldn't even get a loaner phone while I wait for a...
