This place is a house of horrors , it’s incredible that they can operate such a health facility in the United States of America , unfortunately I had to have my brother admitted to this place , do not bring any of your family members here , avoid it at all costs , my brother had cancer and had to have morphine 24/7 , through an IV , the first day they gave him pills , because they didn’t have the right one, they had “ to order it “ even though they say they are a hospital , which they are not , their speciality is lie to the patients and family members as well , at one point my brother started to scream in pain , finally they received the morphine and it was administered to him , some of the nurses and aides were helpful, others like the one we spoke about this issue , not so much , this is the head nurse , Night Shift , we told her that we were going to take my brother out of there and she said that “ she was not going to allow it “, I didn’t know that patients were held against their will , thank God my brother was there for just a week , on another occasion I noticed that he didn’t have the bag where the morphine was being given to him , so I spoke with the nurse in charge , Mimi Miranda , and her answer was “ what do you want me to do ?” Again they didn’t have it , again they were giving him pills , they did everything in their power to obstruct us , his family , to get him transferred to a hospice hospital , he passed away before we could go ahead and get him out of there . I see some good reviews , from what I saw I believe they are fake , I could go on and on , all I can say , please don’t leave your loved ones on these peoples hands .

This place should receive negative stars. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure how medicaid nor the department of health let's this place stay open. It is devastatingly concerning!! My brother was transferred there from the hospital recovering from pneumonia. When he left the hospital, he was his regular happy self. Although my brother could only move his arms and legs, utilizing only gross motor skills due to a previous stroke, he left the hospital using them. Within 2 days my brother whom wasn't fed until my nephew got there to feed him, was almost in a "rigor mortis" vegetative state. My brother was sent to fairview with a picc line for his antibiotics. The hospital doctor's orders were for a vascular Dr to oversee and change this life saving picc line if anything was to happen to it. My brother's picc line became clogged over 3 times a day for 3 days. This is why he almost died because the pneumonia came back full blast. Fairview never had a vascular Dr. Check or fix the line within the 3 days. At one point they scheduled for him to go out to see a vascular specialist, BUT NEVER DID SEND HIM. To fast forward, past the police having to be called on the next door patient, complaining about being neglected, and the across the hall patient begging to go to the hospital and for his meds, IT TOOK 6 HOURS FOR THIS PLACE TO FINALLY RELEASE my brother. FINAL THOUGHTS...There are good places, great workers everywhere, and some who shouldn't care for any living thing. Fairview has some good caring people, YET THEY DONT WORK TOGETHER! SO one bad apple rottens the entire facility by neglecting and almost letting patients die!

the site with an unprofessional staff, the attention is pessimistic, my husband fell and they did not report the fall, the food or talk is just warned to be careful not md explain how they allow them to work if they do not have enough forgiveness to attend their customers they are not worries, in this place I did not even take a cat to be looked after, unprofessional. this site is bad, what they show in their catalog has nothing to do with reality my husband neglected it and fell, do not check the people there, they put pamper so they do not need it, I uploaded the photos because I think that people need to know that they should not take their relatives, they are incompetent

Don't take any of your loved ones there. My father who had a stroke wasn't getting any speech or physical therapy as he should've been getting. They have a terrible staff and lack of communication. They only called when something was wrong or change of meds. I called just to get updates and would never get a call back. It had taken them forever to get back to me or just to get a phone call to talk to my dad. They had the nerve to tell me that it's hard to get in contact with me. Nobody can tell me nothing about my dad healthy or not. I always called him 3 or 4 times a day before he had his stroke. I had to call the age abuse hotline on them as well. I could hear through the phone when I called them screaming at the patients. They never answered the main phone line and were always on their cell phones. Before I went to the floor to visit my dad, I made a call and then yelled at them when they figured out I was calling that they weren't picking up their phone because they were on their cell phones. I was so pissed! Then they said, I had to get out of my dad's room for their x, y, and z reasons that weren't valid. I said yea, you think so. Try making me leave and we gonna have a real big issue. I found medication from a former female patient in my father's side of the room while I was cleaning and organizing his side of drawers and closet. Every draw had lotions, over the counter ointments, and hygiene things that were open and or some expired. That's a violation of the HIPAA LAW in which they told me it's not. I'm like are all of you crazy or stuck on stupid something?! I Googled that for them and I told them I could sue them just for all of this. Then he never gotten to watch any TV in his room and most of the time he was sleeping. Their explanation is that he never watches TV anyway. I told them my dad loves his Westerns, so don't tell me what he doesn’t watch or like to watch. He didn't even have a remote then they gave him one after calling maintenance. I said, did any of you think about asking him what he wanted or needed instead of assuming. It's only when I got there they were doing their job. I have to get rude in order for them to do their jobs. They left him on his bed and I don't know how many times I had to call them for things he needed help with that if I had a little more strength or knowledge I would do it myself if I wasn't pregnant. All they do is sit around arguing within themselves and others. That's very unprofessional. The cafeteria area was smelly, smelled like piss and so dirty. My dad can't eat on his own and needs help with it. I caught him eating with his hands. It was disgusting. I tried to get medical records all that I had access too because I'm also his Power Of Attorney. It was a wreck and they have the nerve to get an attitude with me. I'm not spiteful, but it's them who make me that way. If it was their family member they would be reacting the same way I would be. It's because it's not their family member that they don't care. I told his Nurse and Social Worker to email me some centers that I can transfer him to. They gave me centers in NJ. Like why would I want centers in NJ knowing that benefits are different in every state in which he as lived in NY all his life. I live in PA then nurse said I have to look for a center. I told her why would I do that? When she or the social worker could easily email me some centers. She had the nerve to tell me that she lives in PA as well and drives to work everyday. I said, I don't care where she lives and this ain't about her. I want those centers emailed to me asap or you all are going to have a real serious issue when I get over there. I will cuss each and every one of them out. Within that same day I got the some correct centers. Now on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024 after 2 weeks of finally getting approved he'll be transferred to somewhere where they care for their patients, treat them with respect, very professional, and clean. The "Garden Care Center" is where my dad is at now. They have a YouTube video and a tour before making a...

No no no.avoid unless you like one flew over the cuckoo nest vibe I never saw anything like it. Well, quite a number of the staff are lovely people caring warm, helpful, patient there are a number of others that of course are not -but forget about expecting any staff to minister to you or come to you or help you after 9 o’clock at night when the night shift begins there’s only about two people on for handling everything the alarm bells from each room go off and they stay on almost all night and you hear them then you have a number of what seems to be permanent residents there that walk up and down the hallways and they also put people in wheelchairs outside of the room by the nurses station line them up and they stay there all night because they have to watch them I guess they’re a fall risk or whatever and they make a lot of noise because they have some mental illness dementia Alzheimer’s personally I experienced one particular person who started at 9 o’clock at night and didn’t stop until 8:30 in the morning, nonstop, yelling, banging, yelling, more yelling, more banging at the top of her lungs. I don’t know how she did it. She didn’t stop. I asked for a room change. I felt so bad for everyone else who had to listen to that and when you bring it up, they said well she has rights. She has rights to disturb the entire floor? No. I didn’t sleep for 3 nights straight and then finally when I was moved out I had to sleep with the door closed and you could still hear her across the other side of the floor, cause she was so loud and they did nothing to stop her. absolutely nothing. The food is subpar institutional grade. The breakfast is pathetic, lunch and dinner are institutional grade slop no excuse for this. Ownership eats lavishly but patients or those there for short term rehab forget it. No nutrition at all. The hallways are noisy all night.and day good luck getting a rest. The PT room is in desperate need of refurbishing it is not clean. There’s an air conditioner that looks like it has mold in it. It’s sad because the physical therapy staff are very very nice and trying so hard. Why should they have to work in a space like that and those trying to get some physical therapeutic rehab? It’s very unpleasant room to be in why don’t they want to spend some money to refurbish it and fix it up what is their problem? Forget about it if you need to speak to a director or a social worker or a caseworker, they make it impossible to get in touch with anybody there’s no phone number to call anybody. You ask to see somebody they show up days later. The place is run like a free-for-all it’s very unpleasant. It’s constantly frustrating. You’re trying to get something done by speaking to a higher up. Forget it they’re gone. They’re not even around. You’re not allowed to go to an office. They say we’ll get a nurse for you if you want to speak to a social worker or a caseworker, why do I have to go to a nurse? Why isn’t there a phone number to call and leave a message or an office to visit if it’s really important and not allowed to go near anything that resembles an office there they forbid it. It’s very strange. You start to become concerned. and then there were the aides That when you ask for something you might really need they say OK I’ll be right back. They never come back. I went there for physical therapy and was very disappointed the room is depressing. It needs to be refurbished. It’s dusty and broken down looking It’s time what is ownership waiting for?? Clearly they don’t care they seem to be busy pocketing the money that could be used to improve the physical therapy room, the food and there are no activities. There’s no nice common room to sit and maybe read a book or paper or watch TV with others and the place just has a vibe of being like a zoo a real free for all people screaming nurse nurse help help I mean seriously the place is run in a very strange manner and I feel sorry for some of the wonderful people that work there that are trying so hard they know that the place is run like...

I was a CNA here for 6 months and it was so horrific that I had to begin therapy. I’ve never left a Google review before, but I hope to save some people from this torture. The positive reviews you see are fake, anyone who spends 5 minutes here will realize that the care in this facility is sub-par. I will detail SOME of my many experiences.

  1. 3PM-11PM CNAs take 14 patients each. 3 CNAs per floor. It is impossible for 1 CNA to safely and effectively care for this many patients without cutting any corners. If a CNA was on break, there would only be two CNAs on a floor with 40 patients. Many patients require the assistance of 2 CNAs at once. Does this sound manageable or safe? Here’s what’s worse, 11PM-7AM only has TWO AIDS PER FLOOR.

  2. There was a patient who was claiming abuse. Each CNA had to write a statement. A supervisor called me into the nursing office with a written script of what my report should say when I write it. This is highly unethical.

  3. 60-70% of my patients had pressure wounds. Pressure wounds occur when someone is placed in a certain position for an extended period of time. Meaning they are NOT MOVING.

  4. CNAs would not shower patients. One time, I offered an alert and oriented patient a shower with the family member present because our system alerts CNAs when it is time to give a patient a shower. Family member was surprised when I explained that each patient has designated shower days where they are SUPPOSED to be bathed. This patient had not showered in 15 days. If you were a patient that required a machine to be lifted, there was an even less likely chance that you would be showered. This goes back to what I was saying in my first point, CNAs have to cut corners in order to finish their assignment.

  5. Most nurses here are LPNs with very few RNs. This is a problem because there are some tasks only an RN can perform. There is a shortage of wound nurses, with a single wound nurse designated for ALL 5 FLOORS. There are 40-42 patients per floor.

  6. It is impossible to get anybody on the phone. I’ve also noticed that staff does not have emails, although this is likely not the case for all staff. This is just a personal observation I’ve made. I think they don’t utilize emails for the purpose of avoiding a paper trail/avoiding documentation. Another sneaky and unethical move.

  7. I realized some family members record in the facility to document the care their loved one is receiving. A family member of a patient I had saw me on my break and showed me a recorded video of an individual in administration referring to me as a “hot mess.” A lot of favoritism here. Nursing Supervisor Dakota (I was reluctant to share any names until now) would smile, joke and hug other aids but would be extremely aloof towards me. Wouldn’t look at me in the eyes when speaking, would interrupt me mid-sentence and one time even WALKED away from me mid-sentence. If this treatment is happening to CNAs, you can bet even worse is happening to your loved ones. Extremely toxic work environment.

  8. My final comment would be that CNAs here are (typically) being paid $18 an hour. This, in my opinion, on top of unsafe assignments is the reason why there is a lack of staff.

I am appalled at the unprofessional treatment of staff and patients. I still have nightmares about this place although I am fortunate to be working in a much better facility now. I don’t know how any of these people can sleep at night. I can say much more, but I’d like to end my review now. Please send your loved ones anywhere else. This place needs to be shut down...
