Reasons why we find Italy the most dog friendly country: 🍝 Most restaurants inside and outside allow dogs! (Definitely always ask first before waltzing inside and look for stickers on their windows) 🛒 Italy allows dogs inside some grocery stores! You read the write, how cool is that!? 🍷 Dreaming of traveling to Tuscany? Dogs can go on wine tours! Check out @toursoftuscany_official 5️⃣ Interested in going to Cinque Terre? Dogs are allowed on the hiking trails and the trains traveling between the cities! 🏛 What about archaeological sites? Unfortunately, the Colosseum doesn’t allow dogs BUT Pompeii allows small dogs! 🛍 Interested in shopping? Most shopping malls/clothing stores allow dogs inside. Again, definitely always ask! 🚇 Public transport? This depends city by city! Some allow small-medium sized dogs and some allow all dogs! They do ask them to wear a muzzle, lead, and documents, but sometimes this isn’t always enforced. However, always have it just in case! 🚂 @trenitaliaregionale: the regional train system allows small dogs to travel for free in carriers and larger dogs to travel in specific cars for a half priced ticket! 🏨 There are so many dog-friendly accommodations to be found in Italy! We had no problem finding hotels, airbnbs, and agriturismos! Italians seem to generally love animals and treat them like family! I like this place, it’s quaint and wholesome. The place is a little worn down but I guess that’s the charm of it. The restrooms are suspect and not clean for the two times I’ve been there, my wife did not like that at all. First time I went the food was AMAZING.. we ordered a Buffalo Mozzarella cheese Stuffed ravioli in a pesto olive oil sauce. That was amazing very tasteful not too salty. My son had a personal Pan pizza and my daughter had Plain fettuccine With crispy chicken. They bring out really good bread with a salty dipping oil. It seems like it was like Minced black olives with Olive oil, That was really good salty but tasteful. One thing I really gotta give to them that I haven’t Mentioned is their incredibly delicious tiramisu.. It was creamy perfect sweetness melts in your mouth 10 out of 10. And I’m gonna tell you something I am not a big fan of tiramisu, but this was just amazing. The bill wasn’t crazy But after going home, we saw that the waitress double charged us for two orders of Fettuccine. I mean it was $14 extra. I was a little peeved, but I got over it. The second time I went there, I ordered the Penne à la vodka with sautéed chicken And my wife ordered the chicken Parm with penne pasta. My dish was OK but my wife’s dish was terrible. The chicken was way overdone and rubbery, and the cheese on top didn’t taste too good. I’ll probably won’t come back here for a while maybe a year or two. But overall, I highly advise to try the stuffed Ravioli with buffalo mozzarella.

Tuscan Hills does a decent job are creating something Tuscan! If you happen to sit facing the inside of the restaurant (back towards the glass), it’ll actually kind of feel like a trattoria. The decor...the wood...it’s nice. The food was overall very good and I would come back regularly. The arugula salad with Parmesan was a great salad to start with. The octopus antipasti was good. Unusual flavor profile in my opinion - strong with the olives. I can do without it. It was somehow good and I would try something else next time. The wild boar ragout pasta was awesome! The pasta home made and was in a delicious sauce. This was slightly heavy with the olives too. But I did enjoy it very much. The duck breast special we had for the night came with mash potatoes. It was somehow visually unappealing but did taste great. Oh! And they do give you a serious bread basket with an olive purée dip. The dessert was mediocre to be honest. The tiramisu was mild. Not bad but not good either. The biscotti was too hard. I had to really struggle to bite into it. It was easier when I dipped it into the espresso. And oh the espresso was just ok too. I would still come back because the food overall is good and the service is good. And I do look forward to trying different things on another night!

Recently had lunch with a friend at this marvelous establishment. If you want Italian regional food, this is the place to go. However you will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't order at least one of the specials. My friend and I ordered two special dishes that were out of this world and demonstrative of the creativity of the two brothers from Abruzzo who run this fine place. Here goes: Spaghetti Chitarra Fiaccheraio: This dish is a blend of the Abruzzo flat spaghetti noodle with a sauce that emanates from Florence. Fiaccheraio is the word for coachman which harkens back to the public transportation system in Florence. The coachmen were a feisty sort and hence the sauce that adorns the Chitarra at Tuscan Hills is slightly spiked with red pepper. The sauce is also infused with sausage and peas to counter balance the slight elevation of the pepper. Striking and enchanting! Faggotini & Formaggio: In Italian faggotini means bundles, hence this dish contains small pasta bundles filled with pears and mascarpone cheese. The sauce that adorns the small pasta bundles is a parmesan cream sauce containing prosciutto and peas that is to die for. My friend and I finished our respective plates by carrying on the Italian tradition of wiping up and eating every drop of sauce with the delicious locally sourced Italian bread. The plates went back to the kitchen almost as clean as they came out. Speaking of locally sourced, the Italian dessert cakes are delivered from a local bakery in Queens and are as delicious and distinctly regional as the main dishes. So also treat yourself to some espresso and dessert to fully savor the experience at...

Nearly 4 years after my initial review, and my dinner at Tuscan Hills could not have been more different. While the restaurant itself retained the same rustic, antiquated charm that I remembered, the food and service far surpassed my memories. I truly believe that my previous experience versus my more recent one was just a matter of knowing what to order and what to avoid.

I ordered the calamari yet again, and it remained a well executed rendition of a popular dish that. My fiancée commented on the perfectly light and almost buttery batter that was neither too heavy or too light. Calamari is a simple dish that is often done so improperly and I'm happy to say they continue to do it justice. While I ordered fish to my own regret on my prior visit, I opted to steer clear and instead opted for pasta. We ordered the fettuccine in pink sauce with spicy sausage and the rigatoni with eggplant. Both were so simple, but so delicious! They rotate their menu frequently, however these two dishes seem to be staples that are always available, and with good reason.

In regards to ways up improve, sometimes it's the little things that count. Had they brought the complimentary bread out warm as opposed to cold sould have been a nice touch. And because the tables are a bit on the small side, the waiter had to play plate/utensil Tetris whenever a dish arrived at the table. This isn't a problem, except that he wasn't able to do so with quick, decisive movements and instead ended up lingering laboriously while doing so which got to be a little awkward. Still, this is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area by far and I look forward to making a...
