I was passing through the Oculus while going from one place to another in lower Manhattan; I'd never been in there before. Among the usual places one might expect in any mall (Apple Store, etc.) I spotted Figue. On the spur of the moment, I decided to buy some flowers for friends.
The selection is fantastic, and Galatea and her staff really know their stuff! She was very engaging, kind and helpful, especially since I felt a little lost as to what to choose. After asking me a few questions about what I was looking for, she guided me into putting together a really beautiful arrangement. It was much more than just an ordinary bouquet that one might find anywhere else: it was unique and thoughtful, and captured exactly the mood I was looking for.
They also have an assortment of other gifts, candles, etc., it's really incredible that they pack so many cool things into such a small space! She and her staff have a fun way between them, and for a few minutes out of my day they they made me a part of it, which I really enjoyed. No matter what time of year it is, this shop is a colorful vernal oasis in full bloom, right in the center of the concrete jungle.
The eye grabbing hues and shapes that are present throughout all the flowers in the shop are truly mesmerizing. The textures of the arrangements are exquisite, and my bouquet was truly a work of art. Figue provides a true sensory delight for whoever acquires them.

Fresh fresh flowers, high quality. 2. Unique and creative arrangements, literally no cookie cutter going on here. 3. Friendly and accommodating (example: I was running on a tight schedule, called ahead, spoke to owner, asked what seasonal flowers she had (peonies, etc.) and after deciding on some special stems my wife likes, she created the rest of the arrangement for my wife and daughter to general color scheme I wanted, I paid for over the phone and was able to run in and out to meet my schedule.
