What to say about Forest Av? Like a lot of people who rely on the subway for work, this station was instrumental in our decision to move to Ridgewood. As far as subway stations go it is a good one. Small, simple layout and with ticket machines that always seem to be working. From the above ground platform you get a good view of Queens (and Brooklyn). It is beautiful on a clear morning. Going into Manhattan in the morning is a crowded affair due to the amount of people who get on the train at the stop before (Fresh Pond). Pro Tip: If going to the city, take the train in the opposite direction and get off at fresh pond and take from there. Although it is only one stop, it will help you get a seat during rush hour. Overall, good station. The M line is one of the best trains in NYC.

Probably one of my favorite stations. It is clean, the machines work and honestly, it is rarely very crowded. I used to catch the M at Myrtle/Wyckoff and have taken it at Seneca as well but I must say that at Forest, I was always able to get a seat on the train while at the other two stations, I wasn’t always able to. If you have a chance to live near this station, take it. I noticed other reviews state that there is no trash can, however, there is. It is right inside the doors of the station, before you swipe through and get up to the platform. So be sure to throw away your trash before swiping through!

Pristine looking station. People complain about the service frequency but the stations only get remotely packed during rush hours.

Glorious after getting off the Q14 bus coming from Eliot Avenue- 80th Street in Queens's Middle Village section since yesterday on Thursday, 7/17/2025 & then rode the M train from Forest Avenue in Queens's Ridgewood section to the last stop next to Christ The King High School known as Metropolitan Avenue- Middle Village for the Rego Park Bound Q38 after MTA NYC Transit's Queens Bus Redesign since Sunday, 6/29/2025 for part 1 & for part 2 on Sunday, 8/31/2025 during the 2nd day of Labor Day weekend of 2025 from Saturday to Monday, 8/30 to 9/1/2025. Anyway, M train at Forest Avenue rocked just like the Q14 bus from...
