What to say about Forest Av? Like a lot of people who rely on the subway for work, this station was instrumental in our decision to move to Ridgewood.
As far as subway stations go it is a good one. Small, simple layout and with ticket machines that always seem to be working. From the above ground platform you get a good view of Queens (and Brooklyn). It is beautiful on a clear morning.

I used to catch the M at Myrtle/Wyckoff and have taken it at Seneca as well but I must say that at Forest, I was always able to get a seat on the train while at the other two stations, I wasn’t always able to. If you have a chance to live near this station, take it. I noticed other reviews state that there is no trash can, however, there is. It is right inside the doors of the station, before you swipe through and get up to the platform. So be sure to throw away your trash before...
