We went last nite there . We ordered the spicy teriyaki chicken over white rice . 1st of all the amt was close to just a little smaller then for a child's plate . The chicken was not teriyaki at all . It was just shredded little pieces of dry red pieces of spicy chicken . And I do mean shredded! You could actually count the pieces . The salad on the side was ok , it's the 50 / 50 , I believe , spring mix with garlic over it . Ok , but , as I said before a very small amt . I had 2 ring size carrots and a tiny 1 piece of broccoli . The supposedly teriyaki chicken laid on a flat small square bit of white rice . I was not very happy , and over all the flavor was definitely not to my liking. The 6 piece chicken wings , was very crispy , yet a little undercooked . The wings were pretty cold , considering that we only walked three block's. I usually prefer a home cooked meal , but i had wanted to take the day off and heard about this place , so i figured I'll try it , i wasn't impressed . I will not go there anytime soon...
Read moreJames is the owner and did something supremely special. It's a tough block to park on so I typically go on the sidewalk to allow traffic to get by without causing any delays or potential injuries to others. I keep my hazards on as well to alert pedestrians and only park when no one is around.
I made a particularly large order. When I came to pick up, James notified me it would take 12-15 minutes. So I returned to my vehicle and waited to the tunes of old school PR Jerry Rivera.
I lost tracked of my attention and forgot that time had spanned. James came outside in the freezing cold to hand me my food and even crossed the street looking for me. This right here deserved a 5 star review and my automatic allegiance to their brand. Heck I'd give 10 stars if I could.
Not to mention the chicken is probably some of the BEST in nyc. And I’ve tried a variety of chicken spots. Take it from a Black man allegiant to his fried chicken for over 35 years. This is an excellent spot with decent portions.
Thanks James-you're the...
Read moreKorean fried chicken is the best fried chicken as far as I'm concerned, and this place is comparable to anything you'd get in K-town, with the added bonus of whole cloves of perfectly browned garlic on your plate. Skin is perfectly crispy despite being coated in sauce, and the chicken feels light and clean and non-greasy for fried chicken. I got sweet chili and "cheesling" as my seasonings. Sweet chili is perfect, nice balance of sweet and spicy. Cheesling is a dry topping, similar to the cheese dust you'd find on Cheetos, so it's not as much what I'd want out of Korean chicken but still tasty. They also have the standard soy and spicy options which I'll have to try next time. Also got a side of kimchi, which was solid. Service is fast and friendly, and they have a wider variety of side dishes than, say, Bon Chon. Will...
