She really takes her time with you! To create your own perfume takes time, so give yourself two hours. You may not need two hours, but PLEASE don't rush! Come back if you have to, but please do not rush. Take the time for YOU! I wanted to take more time, but couldn't, due to family care.

During the creation of your perfume, she writes down YOUR recipe, and you get to name it. She saves this information on an index card. Should you want more, she can recreate, then mail to you, or you can come back to pick up.

Yesterday, I created a perfume that's floral, fresh, and summery. Later this year, I will return to create something sultry.

Fragrance Shop New York is a hidden gem in Nolita. They accept walk-ins but it's suggested to call to make an appointment Friday-Sunday (the weekends). I came on a Saturday and had a 2pm appointment.

Expect to spend 1-2 hours exploring their diverse scents. Prices vary, but for spray perfume, it's $80 for 1mL or $94 for 2mL. They also offer body oils, lotions, and rollerballs.

The staff were incredibly sweet--I worked with Otso! The others would also chat with you from time to time, you get individualized attention but they all make you feel so at home! Literally the sweetest people ever.

You get to choose your favorite scents from their diverse selection, and they guide you through breaking down top, middle, and base notes. Swatch and smell each scent before making your choices.

Your fragrance is mixed, swatched on your hand, and you can suggest modifications. I adjusted mine with Otso's help, resulting in a perfectly balanced, custom scent I named "Radiant Taormina"--the Italian orange and sun showers notes reminded me so much of the Sicilian paradise when I visited recently in November. They keep your recipe on file for easy reordering.

Well I searched Google for perfume shop near me and this came up so I got on two buses to travel to the location . Upon entering I wasn’t greeted , as I went to sit down I was then told I can ask questions , in doing so I was informed its APPOINTMENT ONLY so I state it doesn’t say that on Google so they should modify that so tourist like myself wouldn’t waste time and funds. As I was speaking to the lovely woman with tattoos, the person with face piercings then butted in taking over the conversation being extremely facetious and rude towards me as I was expressing the inconvenience presented . There was no empathy or customer service that would even draw me to support this business . As I was leaving out the person with the piercing commences to tell me “you can head out “ as if I weren’t.
