Having completed a five figure sale of gold bullion (US Treasury coins) to the owner of this business, Oshri Reuven, I find Him to be a trustworthy and honorable man prepared to pay a competitive price, provided one is able to show full documentary evidence of one's 'identity' and lawful acquisition of the property, as I was, and has a US bank account for the money to be paid into. Throughout the process I had the impression that He endeavours to run a business which is on the right side of The Law, despite the obvious challenges in this field (my Grandfather was also a law-abiding dealer in second-hand gold and silver). As a result, any new customer seeking to sell goods worth over a certain sum, maybe $10,000, should expect to have to wait longer than They might like whilst He conducts his own 'due diligence' checks to rightly protect Himself, and while his bank likewise scrutinises the transaction. However, once that is done, if You indeed have nothing to hide, You can expect full payment into your bank account, if your experience is like mine. Throughout the process He communicated with Me by email, was polite and professional, sincerely thanked Me for the business and gave Me his blessing when it was complete. I would give 4.5 stars because of the time it took, but that option does not exist and that matter may well have been outside his control. If You are looking for a quick sale, no/few questions asked, I do not doubt there are plenty who will oblige, but I doubt They'll pay such a good price. Obviously if You are leaving your property with GG and S, as I did, make sure to get a full receipt, for the avoidance of any discrepancy and to show You are businesslike. I also advise requesting a realistic estimate of how long the sale will take to complete, so You know where You stand, something I omitted to do. Remember too that You can not reasonably expect to receive 'the market price', whatever that may be for an ounce of gold, as these people have to make a living, pay rent and insurance etc. Overall I am glad such people as Oshri Rueven still exist, willing and able to do honest business in 'real' money - gold and silver - and patiently pilot the transaction through 'The (government-banking) System', which wants a cashless society, as if cash were evil, which it most certainly is not. His assistant, Elad Reuven, with whom I met on my first visit, was also entirely...
Read moreMy husband and I live in Virginia, and we were up in NY for a wedding. We brought our gold with us, as we had gotten a price from a buyer in Virginia a few months prior of about $300. We didnt know where to go, but we found Global on the internet and it seemed to have good reviews. We went straight there, and the owners (father and son) and their assistant Renee were SO nice and helpful, answered all our questions, and offered a very reasonable price of $850 for our gold. We were very pleased and didnt find any reason to go elsewhere to compare. They used a scale in front of us and explained everything about the difference between 14K, 18K, etc. We liked them so much that we asked them for recommendations on where was best to buy a new setting for my engagement ring and a new wedding band. We only had a day in NYC and had to leave that evening. Renee personally took us down to one of the local wholesalers, who showed us some settings. We purchased two beautiful rings from him, and we actually didnt choose to walk all around and compare as we felt they were being very reasonable and fair with us. Renee was amazing; she not only helped me pick out the ring but she took us to get it fitted and set, and gave us lots of recommendations for where to have lunch, etc. When we came back to pick up the rings, everything was all done perfectly, and Renee even found us a discount coupon on the internet to pay for our parking!!!! This is a one stop shop if you are looking for a fair and great jewelry experience! We now feel we have our own...
Read moreUpdate - A week or so later, I did return to Global Gold & Silver to sell some pieces. I met with Idan and Oshri, the owner, was there as well. They were kind and patient with all of my questions and the went through all of my jewelry once more. The price was very competitive and Oshri paid me on the spot immediately. I love the option of cash or Venmo, which is super convenient. I also learned that Oshri sells jewelry, so if I ever need anything, I'm coming back to this place.
Again, thanks to everyone who already left a review for this place. It really helps finding some trustworthy businesses in an area that can seem intimidating. Highly recommend especially now that I've conducted business with them!
I found Global Gold and Silver through a number of positive reviews here and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Booking an appointment online was quick and easy, and their website is one of the most informative I’ve seen in this space.
During my visit, I worked with Sam. As someone unfamiliar with selling gold, I truly appreciated his patience and kindness. He walked me through the entire process: how they assess the value, how they test each piece, and importantly, there’s no fee for testing. The whole experience felt transparent and low-pressure, I was completely at ease.
I didn’t end up selling that day, but I’m planning to return with more pieces. I highly recommend this place to anyone new to selling gold and am genuinely looking forward to...
