Grace Nail & Spa — Local services in New York

Worst horrible service ever...they dont speak any English..my daughter has been going there for years a very loyal customer who referred over hundreds of other loyal friends of hers to the establishment.She booked 2 appointments for a mani sns for her and gel acrylic for me and 2 gel pedicures, when we got to the establishment at 4pm today Grace the owner acknowledged our appointments. She told us both to pick our colors, we did. We waited a half an hour than we were finally told to go over to the pedicure chairs. As we sat waiting a girl who didn't speak any English started working on me, she cut my ankle pretty badly with one of her tools, God only knows how she managed that, I felt something burning and I look down at my ankle and there is blood everywhere, she says something in her language to Grace and then the Girl proceeded to put something on my ankle to stop the bleeding, I screamed in pain and asked her what that was she put on me and I got no response. As she proceeded to end the gel pedicure I had asked her for sparkles to put over the color that I had picked. She didn't understand what I was asking so she asked Grace to translate. She puts the base coat on and I asked her where is the UV machine and the girl did not acknowledge me. Then finally they said to go pick the sparkle that I want, as I went to the front of the store,I ask Grace what is the delay and she says, that my daughter never booked me, she only booked herself, and it's going to be a very long wait. Its already 6pm now and they still have not started on my daughters pedicure , my daughter is still in the pedicure chair, I told them that I had to leave to go and make dinner for my family. So I left, my daughter calls me a half hour later and states that they will not do her manicure after they made her soak it in acetone for 2 and half hours...they told her we are closing and that she can no longer come back to the establishment. I was appalled when I heard that from my daughter...My daughter nor her friends or I will never step foot into that establishment again! My first and last time there! WORSE Nail...

I’m not one to typically write reviews unsolicitedly but omg! I’ve been going to another nail salon in the area but their customer service has been lacking. I just kept going because they are the cheapest in the area. Last night, they got their scheduling wrong and that was my last straw. I found Grace’s Nail on yelp. They were closing fairly soon so I called to see if they would take a walk in. She hesitated for just a moment then said “Sure! Why not!” in such a sweet tone. So I came by and as soon as I walked in I LOVED the atmosphere. I was greeted and sat right away. The clientele were all so nice and welcoming too. I was teetering between acrylic and SNS and Sonny was so patient with me and TOOK.HER.TIME! SHE WAS AMAZING. Shaped my nails BEAUTIFULLY and found the perfect match from my inspo photo. Even after they closed, Sonny did not start rushing. She continued to make sure my nails were perfect(which they are!). For a few bucks more, I’d much rather sit in a chair here and feel cared for than sit elsewhere and just feel like a dollar sign. $45 for SNS is still such a great...

I walked in with gel tips on and I wanted to take them off and just put gel. They proceeded to have two women take my acrylic nails off with metro cards, which I could’ve did myself at home before coming in, it hurt so much with the two of them doing it at the same time. Then after I obviously had short nails because they came off with the tips since they used a metro card. I asked for French and they told me no because my nails were too short even though I have gotten the same design on my nails at another salon with the same length nails. Then they started talking in another language laughing at the fact that I wanted a design for my short nails, I felt so embarrassed. Then to top it off they charged me $5 for taking off my tips with a metro card!!! Like are you kidding I could’ve did that for free on my own, I go to a salon to get it professionally soaked off and they weren’t busy either so I don’t know why they couldn’t wait. I never leave reviews or get upset like this but I just felt so...
