Great Lawn Basketball Courts — Local services in New York

Great spot for pickup Basketball. Accidentally found the courts while walking through the Park with friends in 1981. We had four but picked up a random guy to make a team. We then proceeded to win 6 games in a row! Being from the Bronx, it was refreshing to play against unfamiliar ballplayers aka "White Boys" (no offense). We had a ball (pun intended). There were many kids close to the courts but respectfully not on the courts as their group activities were just in the same area. So we had to be mindful of where the basketball bounced off to more diligently. Other than that, the ground is concrete so diving for rebounds are NOT encouraged.. not all courts are even but still are playable. Corner shots on windy days shouldn't be considered....
